My course is electrical and electronics engineering. Actually this is not much simple but can pass if we study truthfully. I suggest much improvement in practical hours than the theoretical hours. Teaching method is good .and am comfortable in their teaching methods.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 17000 per year

Placement Experience

Many companies are conducting aptitude test for students. After passing the test they conduct HR and technical interview. This is good for students to get placement in more companies like tata, L and T, etc

Fees and Financial Aid

Each semester has a perticular fees and this fees is slightly varied according to even and odd sem. For even sem it is approximately 7000 and for an odd sem it is approximately 10000 rupees. Scholarships are available like egrants,mcm...etc.

Campus Life

Many annual and technical events are coordinated in every year. Misr famous are druva,... Classroom facilities are good and good in sports and arts activities.Social groups like NSS IEEE ISTE are coordinated.

Hostel Facilities

The rooms are clean and calm . I am satisfied in college hostel facility. Water and good food are available in low price. Quality of meals are good . Registration fees are applicable.And have Little control strategies

Based on Kerala entrance rank. Application form available from college website.Reservation applicable for sc ,st category. Application fees , application date are available in the college website. Basically 8 semester are allowed.in this first two are little easy compared to other

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was never interested in engineering. I passed KEAM entrance exam. So my parents forced me to become an engineer. Since I was interested, I thought food technology might be a good branch in engineering. So I got admission in KUFOS through allotment. The course is actually good . In the 1st year, you study basic engineering, 2nd year onwards food related courses are taught. If you are a student who only have the intention to study you will find this college easy to adjust. They provide all facilities to study. There is no particular frequency for a semester. Even though academic calender is there for each batch it is not followed properly. In this college the course may last upto 4.5 years. Due to this reason the students ask the management to cut shot semester breaks so that they won't loose 1 year.

Remarks:

I only have postive thoughts about that campus. The campus helped me to remove my pre-occupations, inhibitions, fear etc. It gave a lot of memorable moments, large number of friends. The most special thing about the college is those memorable friendships with the faculties whos understand students very well.

An honest review of GCE KANNUR by a student

The college is merit based admission college, to get admission in this college you have to write an entrance exam which is KEAM and I have a rank of 16000 in KEAM So the college I first confirmed admission was GEC Kozhikode which was a good college but the campus was too small so there was a spot admission which was held by GCE kannur and I applied for it The admission process is managed by KEAM they give you a date to take admission and the process gets done in 2hrs you have to be physically present with your parents , The overall admission experience was smooth and well managed by the faculties...Read More
