Is NIT JALANDHAR Worth it?

The course being the part of Mechanical Engineering so for the obvious reasons the cirriculum prepares us for the real world applications. The teaching method of the course is new. Lectures are given through the powerpoints which sometimes kind of feel boring. The Examination is taken 2 times throughout the semester but also quizes are there for evaluation.

Internships are there in college. One can take internship after 2nd year and one for that of 6 months in the last year. Off campus internships can also be there but keeping in mind the 75% attendence one can definitely enjoy the brand name of NITs

Placements are good considering there are layoffs. Various companies visit the college like amazon,etc. Highest packages would be 40-50 lakhs and average being that of nearly 10+lakhs. For this year nearly 65% students are placed till now

Tution fee is fairly less when compared to the private colleges. Tution fees generally doesn't really hike suddenly. The fees of the tution fee is different for different semester like the even semester's(Jan to june) fees is different from winter semester's . There are relaxations for the fees if the financial income of family is less than some certain amount. Different scholarships are also available

Campus life is good as it is a 150+ acres of land so one does get plenty of space to roam around. There are canteens in different parts of college. Student activity centre is there. Gym also available. Badminton,tennis,basketball courts available. Different clubs are there to join in college according to different interests you have.

Hostels are good according to the fees being taken. 1st year hostels are apart from the seniors. There is timing restrictions on hostel for the safety of first years. Mess is included in hostels only and the meal provided there is included in hostel fees. The food provided is tasty and home like. Menu is decided by mess committee consisting of students only

Admission process was fairly easy and friendly. Admission was done on the basis of JEE Mains. Admission was through the JOSAA website and after that through the college website. Many documents were required to get the admission. All those documents were to be uploaded on the college website from time to time so one had to be active on the website frequently.
