Life at NITJ

The curriculum at NIT Jalandhar is very well optimised according to the need of the particular branch. They have courses curated such that they fulfill the need of the current industry scenario.However in the first year there are some subjects which are common toh all the branch which I think would be the branch specific

The internship opportunities are available here at NIT jalandhar for 3rd and 4th year students. There are companies visiting for intern but overall there are not so many companies. For the batch of 2025 the companies which visited for intern are Microsoft, Cisco, Citibank, Salesforce

The campus at placement is good. Almost all the students get placed from most of the branches. The branches such as CSE,IT.and ECE have 100% placement records Some famous companies which visit our campus are Microsoft, Amazon, oracle, Salesforce etc. But however the placement for the current batch is suffering due to the recession

The fee structure at NIT jalandhar is very similar to all other NIT's . It has different fees varying according to the family annual income and category. The tution fee for the SC/ST students and student who have annual family income less than 1lakh is Nil. Similarly students who have family income between 1 and 5 lakh have toh pay 1/3rd of the tution fee

The campus life is very good at NIT Jalandhar. It has two major events Techniti and utkansh which are held in the even semester every year. There also many clubs which students can join to enhance there skills such as dance clubs.music clubs, debate clubs and many more. Overal the social life is very good at nitj and there are alot of extracurricular activities to do.

Hostel facility is also very good here at NIT. There are separate hostel for the first year student keeping in mind the ragging which is a good thing.The quality of food at the mess is also good and student also participate thorough polls in making of the mess menu. The rest of the facilities at hostel are good . We got all basic facilities such as wifi, geyser,lifts

I got admit at Dr. B R Ambedkar National Institute of technology, Jalandhar though the JEE EXAM. I have got the general rank of 30k approx and OBC category rank of 7k approx . The admission process was very smooth and fluent.
