The campus has wide diversity of flora and fauna .
All sports facilities are provided for boys and girls.
It has a private beach which is near to the hostel.

Dislikes

The weather is unpredictable you have to carry umbrella all the time.

Course Curriculum Overview

We have 2 quizzes, class tests ,mid sem and end sem . Quiz is mostly mcq and sem exams are subjective. Professors are very helpful and friendly. We have labs and industrial visits which helps with the practical world.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Many companies provide internship opportunities. You are eligible for internships in your 3rd of BTech. Students get placed in reputed companies like google , amazon , Infosys etc. There are chances that you get placed in the same company.

Placement Experience

4th year students are eligible for campus placements. 3rd years students are eligible for internship offers. There are some internships for second year students also. 90-93% students get placed every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee is around 65000 with mess charges 20000. Hostel fee is 7500 . For 1st and 2nd years girls have double sharing rooms . 3rd and 4th year can opt for individual rooms. There are many scholarship opportunities also.

Campus Life

Campus life is very nice and fun in NITK. We have NCC, NSS, exclusive clubs , technical and non technical clubs , entrepreneur's club , dance, music and art club. NITK has sports complex having badminton court, tennis court ,yoga hall etc. The swimming pool is under construction.

Hostel Facilities

Girls hostel has 2 mess (veg mess and non veg mess). There are 6 hostels for girls and around 11 hostels for boys . Boys have various mess options . Hostel charges are around 7500 and mess advance is 20000. The mess food quality is nice.

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Admission

Eligibility - JEE Mains + 75% in +2 You have to register for josaa councelling (6 rounds) and csab councelling (2 rounds) Reservation benefits for ST/SC, OBC , PWD students. Jee mains is an exam of 3hrs for 300 marks.

Placement Experience:

from 6th sem the students will be eligible for campus placements Companies Infosys ,Tata ,Samsung, Mercedes ,Bosch, Many more etc. Highest package was given at 6.5 lakhs And the average package will come around 3 lakhs . It's like 50 : 50 ratio where you'll get 50% of them will qualify for the placements and 50% will not qualify replacements. I just want to do Masters after my degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very unique, and very new, we are not taught irrelevant subjects and topics like every university does, Polaris school of technology (PST) is a new gen college which mainly focuses on tech, producing the best engineers not amongst india but amongst the world, it's aim is to produce engineers who are better than IITians and MITians, all these specifications influenced me to choose this course/curriculum When it comes to real-world applications, Polaris school of technology(PST) gives us real-life problems and scenario based projects through evaluations which help us in the future and helps us to build a proper approach for problems and train us to be the best. We have two main exams per sem which would be conducted every 3 months that is ½th of the sem, we have a total of 8 sems, so total 16 exams, our exams would be difficult for other college students, but not for us as we have the best mentors.

A mini heaven on earth called NITK

After GATE exam, I applied to almost all top NITs like NIT Trichy, NIT Surathkal, NIT Warangal, NIT Calicut etc during CCMT counselling . I had also applied in IIT Dhanbad in COAP counselling. I got IIT Dhanbad in 8th round. I spoke to my coaching Sir, he had advised me to go for top 3 NITs rather than IIT Dhanbad. Since these three NITs are well established and offer better placement opportunities as compared to IIT Dhanbad which is relatively a new IIT. One needs to qualify GATE exam to get a shot at taking admission in IITs/NITs. Once you qualify the GATE exam you can then look at specific colleges cutoff for admission. I got NIT Surathkal in special round 1 which was held after 3 regular rounds. I preferred NIT Surathkal as compared to other NITs since its considered in top 3 NITs and also it's near my home as compared to NIT Trichy....Read More

I had applied for other IITs & NITs with different branches like IIT GUWAHATI and IIT BHU ,IIT ROORKEE,NIT TRICHY as i wasn't able to clear the cutoff according to their requirements i got NITK SURATHKAL which was the best that i got i choosed the other colleges because of their higher placement records more average salary packages and the most OG thing is that i wanted the IITian tag but i had also got a seat allocated in IIT BHU in metallurgy but i didnt wanted to take it and finally i chose NITK SURAATHKAL because it near to my hometown Banglore and the weather is very good there it has a privatre beach along with a light house many places to visit around NITK SURATHKAL mainly a very big campus of aroung 300 acres and multiple number of sports opportunities it has 2 gym .
