No one thinks and just starts coding in their first year
People do not exlplore their interests in the beginning.
Academic Evaluation is very vague. Students grades differ by the difference of 1 to 2 marks.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is designed to meet the needs of the metallurgical and materials engineering industry, ensuring that graduates are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their careers upon graduation.

Class Size: 97Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Placement Experience

The placements are quite good. Almost all the Computer Science students get placed. The placements in Metallurgy department are around 40 %. The average package of the camus is around 14 LPA. CSE students get higher packages.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee is of Rupees 100000 per semester. The complete cost of education is around 1100000. There is a provision of scholarship for the students whose annual afmily income is less than Rupees 500000.

Campus Life

Infrastructure here is well developed. There is a Students Activity Center (SAC) for the day to day activities of students. There is Multi Activity Center(MAC) for cultural and any other programmes. Overall the clubs are great especially coding club.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel Facility is pretty good. For the first year UG students, there is a room on sharing basis in the Rajendra Bhawan. From 1st year onwards, each student gets separate room with a table, bed and a chair.

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Admission

Candidates aspiring to get admission in B.Tech program at IIT need to appear for the Joint Entrance Examination(JEE) Main conducted by the National Testing Agency(NTA). Those who qualify in JEE Main are eligible for JEE Advanced

GEU and CSE ho hand in hand!

Placement Experience:

LTI, Polaris, Deloitte, Infosys, Oracle, Nvidia and what not are there for placements here. Even the Fintech and finance companies like the Axis Bank, Shri Ram Capital Finance and all are here. Thus, placements worth 10-50 lakhs is quite possible at GEU.

Geu provides best intenrships!

Placement Experience:

In GEU placements are like such that we don't have to bother at all. We are approached by placements cell in the 5th semester and then are trained for the whole month and then university urges us to go for internships to have the required exposure and have a CV which can impress the recruiters first hand. Thus, we get placement which median as of now is 8.5 lakhs.

GEU has the best Placements!

Placement Experience:

McKinsey, Oracle, NVIDIA, Google, TCS, Deloitte and many more come here for placements. Around 15-20 students in 2025 had placements worth over 40 lakhs and four students managed to grab placements worth 50 lakhs or more.

I didnt applied for any other colleges other than some iits which were iit bombay, kanpur, roorkee, guwahati. Just these four and nothing because i got a decent rank in JEE Adv 2025. No i didnt get rejection from any college with my rank in jee main and advanced 2025 The admission process is straight like 1) JEE main 2) JEE Advanced 3) Josaa counselling Cutoff for top seven iits is higher than all other iits neans that you cant get into top seven just by qualifying jee advanced, you must have a good rank....Read More

IIT ROORKEE - A SCRUPULOUS REVIEW

I took part in jossa councelling and got it . I was happy with any of seven old iits . In better way , i would be happy in going any top iit. Moreover i choose it because of it's weather and location. Rest all things are similar to all top iits. Nothing is less in iit roorkee. You have to give jee main then jee advanced. If you get good rank , you will get this college. You will have to get air under 5000 to get in iit roorkee or any top iit....Read More

1st year opinion of IIT Roorkee

I took admission from JEE (Main+Advance).Form could be found on NTA website. Some reservation benefits were , i got a bit higher brancher even though my rank was lower. Mains timing are morning shift and evening shift. As for advance it runs all day for 6 hours(with a break of 2 hour in between). Mains is easy , advance is a bit difficult....Read More
