Likes

Calm and quiet reading room which having AC and light on and it closes at 3 am.
Shopping complex inside the university named "Ponlait" can have asscessories.
Fair class time. And can choose any softcore according to our preference.

Dislikes

Road infrastructure is too poor in University.
Mosquito is too much there. Can't sleep properly.
Not having proper computer labs for students. Not getting any refund and reduction in mess fees.

Course Curriculum Overview

This course helps to improve knowledge. As well as by having internship in 2nd sem having practical knowledge. Also having a research/project in 3rd semester. Workshop in end semester. Faculties are really helping. And they suggest some sites too. Only having 3 hours class in a day for hardsore. That also helping to earn money by going part-time jobs.

Internships Opportunities

Internship is not providing by University it's on our hands. University only gave the chance to have an internship. So there is no stipends too. But now only few students are getting internships having stipend of 30000 and after that training and selection also.

Fees and Financial Aid

Odd semester having 11000 plus and even semester having 3500 only. There is having total of 4 semester. If you opt for hostel then mess fees also there, for women's it's 74 per day and hostel is free. And about scholarships I am from Kerala so I applied for Egrants. For higher marked students, they will get department scholarship. Comparing to MBA in our university placements are less for M.Com students.

Campus Life

Festivals are mainly happening in pongal,Onam, Christmas, akanksha and Vanicom. Books are tooless in our university. But have a reading room to study and read books. Every class room contains tv. This university mainly focuses sports such as football, cricket, basketball. There is also other activities including Dance club, NSS.

Hostel Facilities

I am staying in narmadha hostel. There are 3 students in one room but the room having only two students facilities. Mess food is okey okey only. Only two days contains chicken and two days having egg,milk every morning. For girls not having any hostel fees only having mess fees. you can enter and exit hostel any time.

Hostel Fee: INR 22000 per year

Admission

I applied for M.Com in Pondicherry University. The selection process starts with an exam named "CUET". Then selected students with higher scored students in that exam. Eligibility of the course is B.Com in any specialisation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Academic curriculum have some shortcomings like the internals are held very late and because of that the end of the semester becomes very hectic. The internship duration is very short it should be at least a month.

The placement drives are actively happening in the campus mostly banking sector companies are conducting the placement drives Mangement students have more priority 30% students are getting placed recently federal bank has conducted a placement drive and 40 students have got the offer letter

Some courses such as M.com(Account & Taxation) , Green energy Engineering are only available in South India which are most important for the upcoming future Each and every class of our course go through the application methods which improves the ability of study No need of improvements as the faculties and facilities are available as required The exams are conducted after acknowledgement of completion of syllabus in required subject thoroughly & results will be within 10 days of completion of exams

Opinion about our University

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very good. In Pondicherry University the Master of Commerce is the best course compared to others. There are lots of talented teachers in our department. Then the examination procedures are good because there is perfect examination control in the University. They are conducting exams correctly after the portions are over and the results are also published within a week.

My life in Pondicherry University

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our curriculum is specified in Accounting and Taxation which is not available in most of the universities. But considering the real world application, No in depth practical skills can be achieved. Our own efforts along with Carriculam will work greatly. Exams are happening timely in Semester wise. Results can be expected within a week after the exam.

Pondicherry University - The green campus

I applied to Jamia Millia Islamia for biotechnology which I didn't got due to my low score in entrance exam and I also tried to get into lovely professional University which I cancelled due to the high fees. Then my next option was Pondicherry University, the prime reason I came here is because of the course. Clearing CUET examination is required for the admission. So I also applied for criminology and police administration in Sardar Patel university but I fell ill during the time of admission.
