Course Curriculum Overview
Introduce more practical practice into the course curriculum. The faculties are good. Chemical engineers are known as universal engineers, they prepare us for IT jobs as well as core fields(non-IT) jobs, and this will help us to choose our fields after the course.
Internships Opportunities
As I am first-year student I don't know any company's name but, there are enough internship programs for a batch, and if you are still not satisfied then students can get internships from outside too.
Placement Experience
In the fifth semester, we are eligible for job internships and placement starts at 7th semester. And placements are above 90%. The highest is 84 lakhs per annum and the average is 18.26 lakhs per annum. At NIT students should not think about placements because this is the platform where everyone gets place but the importance is to skills so improve maximum skills in 4 years of course.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fee is 1,20,00/- which includes tution, service fees, and other compulsory charges. We have nsp for special category students and FA for others and we also have some local scholarships like Zindal, etc. but we cannot get the scholarship on time when it is actually needed.
Campus Life
At NITK, we celebrate enough fests every month that we get one or another fest definitely. We get Inci which will come at the end of the 1st year this is the best event throughout the year. There are other fests also like Engi fest, cultural fest, and festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi, Onam, Sankranti, Ugadi, Holi, etc.
Hostel Facilities
We have nice room accomodation but comparatively less as senior's hostel rooms. Meals are also not bad it's average but as we go for 2nd or 3rd year we get nice meals too. Registration process and affordability it quite normal not so difficult it is quite simple.
Admission
The admission process was very smooth. Our seniors were helpful for us. First, we had submitted the required documents and these documents are verified there by the respective staff. After verification hostels and mess were allotted.
