- There are so many Strict Hostel rules in nit durgapur
- Mess food is some days are good and some days are avarage.
- Hostel entry time is 7 Pm for 1st year and 11 pm for 2nd year.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculam is quite good with moderate pressure through out the semesters except for a few semesters difficulty level is high varying with branches in various semesters. Faculty members are very good with high qualifications and very efficient in their respective fields. Some are quite good but some make the classes too boring. The faculty and student ration is 1:4
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are quite good students are encouraged to the Internships various companies visit including core and tech companies to offer students from various departments.A student is elligible to seat for internship at the beginning of 3rd year.
Placement Experience
Highest Package 71 lpa in 2023. Placement are quite good on the the campus nit durgapur specially trains and encourages the students to sit for internship and placements. A student is elligible to seat for the internship at the beginning of the third year and placements from the beginning of the final year. A student can manage can geeting a PPO after completing the internship in the 3rd which is also encouraged by the student, The otherncriteria regarding to placements that internship quite well-defined in the NIT DGP website.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure for general student is nowdays a quite high.Studying at government universities we do need to pay 80000 per semester for the B.tech course. The fees hike for the general student is mainly after when the reservation policy was applied for SC,ST students and they do need not to pay any amount of fees. Leaving the tution fees mess fees is also required per semester which is 19000 which also adds a big amount to the existing cost for the tution.Various scholarship assistance is there for students belonging from low income family varies in income range and meritorious scholarship is also provided by the institution.
Campus Life
Life on campus is quite good.It comes with a total area of 187 acres with huge greeneries and 14 hostels to accomodate girls and boys also with a newly inductees mostly skyscraping buliding that is nothing but the research building campus is as it's peak with the beautifulness of the academic buildings and the departments specially with an ad on of beautiful greeneries an all throughout the campus.There is various fest throughout the year the main fest conducted by the collage are a food fest, a technical fest that is arohan and a cultural fest Recstacy which is conducted in november, february and may respectively. Books are journals are sparsely available in the library and those are easily accessible,Classroom are highly efficient with ac and smart board and microphones,there are a lot of extra curricular activities and there are clubs run by students info available.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel accomodation is good with three students clubbed together which is implies for all four year of btech student,facilities in the room are a study table,chair, night lamp,bed(without mettress) mettress should buy bought on thair own an almirah fan light etc, mess food is average.
Admission
Eligibility required for this is, that an individual needs to qualify for the jee mains exam with a required percentile and clear the cutoff according to the catagory of the student (if the students belongs to the catagory) a student needs to get the percentile required or clear the general cut off to get any seat in any one of the NITS.
