- The year on year placements record is pretty good.
- Most of the faculties are very helpful & updated.
- Senior-Junior bonding is amazing, as it is a complete ragging-free campus
Dislikes
- The campus is very very small, but nothing to complain as it is situated in one of the posh areas of Kolkata (near airport)
- Compulsory uniform sucks, specially in the summers.
- Co-curricular activities are not heavily supported.
Course Curriculum Overview
I won't say that the curriculum is completely relevant with the industry standards but it's good enough to make you ready for the industry. As mostly the placements are IT based companies, therefore more no. of software based subjects needs to be introduced (although there's software based subjects, but I would encourage to have more).
Placement Experience
The placements are pretty above market standards I would say. It brings not only mass recruiters like cognizant(4lpa),Accenture(4.5lpa), etc. but also comparatively better companies like EY(6.5lpa), PwC(7.45lpa),etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
My fee structure is around 3.90 lakhs for 4 years,but in current times it's around 6 lakhs for 4 years. I have no idea about any scholarships or financial assistance as I have not opted for one. I would say campus employment opportunities are pretty good in this institute, it has a diverse background of companies coming on campus (IT, analytics,Big4,Telecom, Aviation,electronics etc.)
Campus Life
Campus life is next to zero, it provides good placements but the campus size or life is next to nothing. There are sports tournaments being organised & few cultural activities as well, but all needs to be pushed by the students.(Fest is arranged only once in 4 years) Infrastructures are decent enough to get the job done.
Admission
The admission process for me was pretty smooth and easy. I gave WBJEE exam & got this institute based upon my rank after counseling. After getting the score & rank, simply apply for college counseling by filling your priority order of colleges in the online counseling form. For ECE the cutoff in the year 2021 was around 29k. To be honest, there wasn't any such problems that occurred during the admission process
