RVCE's overview from a mechanical engineering first year student

I always had an interest in mechanical engineering so I choose it. The faculty here is quite good, their teaching methods is also great, they provide us with good materials too. The schedule of the exams is a little hectic, you literally have exams every month, you don't have midsems here instead you have cie, you have 3 cie's out of which best 2 is taken for evaluation, you also have to build projects under el category to score marks. El is a great way to boost up your cgpa

1st year so I don't know much about the placements but as heard from the seniors it is quite good in hair you get much better stipend as compared to other colleges also for the recruitment a big company such as Mercedes Volvo and companies like that come here for offering internships and placements so it's quite good in here

RV is known for its placements, it's really good here. In the year 2023, the highest package was from ise branch and it was of 92lpa, the avg package also stands at 16 to 17 lpa. So yeah, if you are looking about placements, rv is really great in that.

The fees as compared to other private colleges is quite nominal, overall fees for 4 years is around 11.5lacs for my degree. If you include all the expenses, such as living, and monthly expenses, you will have to spend approx 18 to 19 lacs in total. There is no such thing for scholarships but yes you do get great internship opportunities here.

This college lacks in fests and all, we have and e summit every year and the 8th mile which is the cultural fest is held every alternate year. We have clubs such as ashwa, which is considered to be one of the best racing clubs in India. The infrastructure is not that good as of now, most of the things is under construction.

I got into this college through comedk exam, this year's cutofff for mechanical engineering was 7.5k rank, RVCE is considered the best college you can get through comedk exam. You should have taken pcm in your +2, you should have scored more than 60% in your 12th boards. You can get into this college throught kcet and management quota too.
