Iiit through my lens

I chose IT as I had interest in computer programming. The faculty to student ratio is fine. Most of teachers belong to Odisha itself. Many of them however are not so good in teaching. There are two exams in a semester and multiple quizzes.

Companies like Dell often visit the campus for internships. Roles such as software developer, frontend and backend developers. Companies also look for machine learning enthusiasts. Overall the internship opportunities are fine. But not all students get internship.

The campus placements are decent. Students become eligible for placements after 5th semester. Companies like Oracle, Zscaler visit the campus. The highest package for 2019-23 batch was 39 lakhs. A good percentage of students get placed in companies.placement % of CSE,IT,CE is nearly 90% .

Total fees for 4 year (academic + hostel) will be nearly 12 lakh(including mess also). Among odisha students 2 students (in jee rank) for each branch will get tuition fee waiver. Top 3 students of each branch will get money reward after exams.

IIIT Bhubaneswar have largest techno-cultural fest of Odisha which is Advaita , this is only event after GC(GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP) which students really enjoy. Night lift is worst in this college. Everyone should be in this college before 9:30 PM.

In 1st year 3 students will share a single room with separate chair, almirah,table,fan etc. Cleanliness in hostel is maintained nicely. Mess food is very bad , mostly students went outside for their meal. If you get good CGPA in 1st year you can get separate room .

Admission is given on the basis of jee rank half of the seats are reserved for Odisha students rest 50% will be for other states students.other states students will get admission through JOSSA while odisha students need to apply through the website.all information is available on college website.
