Course Curriculum Overview

4

I picked my degree because I've always enjoyed coding and other computer-related activities, and I saw this as a chance to pursue my hobbies and fulfill a lifelong dream of mine. The college's IT department comprises three labs. The department has over 30 faculty members and about 260 students. The majority of the teachers hold PhDs or MTechs from reputable universities. Without fail, examinations were carried out. The exams were of a moderate difficulty level. In 2020, the IT department at GECB saw a higher number of placements and PPOs than any other branch.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

During the breaks between semesters, every student completed their internships. Internships often lasted anywhere from two weeks to two months. There were internship possibilities both on and off campus. After completing their internship projects successfully, a large number of students were awarded PPOs.

Placement Experience

3.5

Students can apply for campus placements in their final year, and between 60 and 70 percent are placed in prestigious companies. The average salary scale depends on the information and skills acquired over the school years and varies from 3LPA to 12LPA. Prominent hiring firms include Wipro, TCS, Infosys, and many others. Most students schedule their postsecondary education in India or elsewhere. This is also where those who prepare for admission exams such as the GATE CAT take place.

Fees and Financial Aid

The charge increase is hardly noticeable, and the fees are reasonable. The annual tuition charge is approximately 10000 rupees, and the cost of books is close to 2k. With mess fees included, hostel accommodations can run you between 4-5k, while living costs are significantly lower. Students may easily obtain Grantz scholarships and other similar facilities, as well as information on tuition.

Campus Life

3.5

Every year, our college hosts a number of magnificent events, such as Sargam, Aagnaya, and Inspire. Our college's major event, Aagnaya, brings together all of the students, regardless of their department. There will be a special visitor and other programs. "Inspire" is a program designed to guarantee the appropriate education and overall growth of children residing in foster families. We engage with these kids in this program and usually spend some time with them. The college features an excellent library with a mostly open reading area. Every year, college hosts sporting events. Also there are a lot of groups and tech activities. Among the technical societies that are offered at our college are ISTC, IEEE, ASME, NSS, and others. They are mostly responsible for the pupils' increased technical expertise.

Hostel Facilities

3

With mess fees included, hostel accommodations can run you between 4-5k, while living costs are significantly lower. The food provided is pretty much good. The room will be shared among 3 to 4 peoples.

Admission

The prerequisite for admission is passing the Kerala Engineering Entrance Exam (KEAM) with a minimum score of 60% in the scientific stream from an upper secondary school. Usually, the webpage will be sent along with the KEAM application announcement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
