Likes

I liked the campus the staff friends environment.
The diversity is maintained among large group of people and community.
Hostel facility is very good,Equipments are very nice.

Dislikes

Work load on the students , they have to study atleast 40 subjects in 4 years.
The students have strict time boundary. All of them has to report hostel within certain time period.
If somehow you do anything against the college rules strict action is taken against them.

Course Curriculum Overview

I personally didn't choosed this course as in this marks i was availing this course only from my nearby institute. ratio is nearby 1:21. Faculty is very good.They have very good practical knowledge about the domain part and explains all the stuff practically. Qualification is also sufficient enough to fulfil our knowledge. The examination timing is well.They provide sufficient time to grasp.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 76300 per year

Placement Experience

From begining of 7th sem the students are eligible for placements including sufficient CGPA and no active backlogs. Also Year drop criteria is very crucial for some of the companies. Min campus placement is 3 LPA and highest is 42LPA.]

Fees and Financial Aid

For general category students the institution fee is quite high and continously increasing with time, Including mess fee. The Private mess had worst quality of food bt govt mess provides better quality and well taste. No i did't got any type of scholarship or financial assistance. Yes i got job in JSW group.

Campus Life

Annual fest,tech fest, food fest are organised by the clubs and groups of the college. This includes students Gymkhana the power holding authority of the students which provides Power diversity. College has library providing thousands of books novels etc. All types of sports activities are encouraged here including cricket, football,hockey,basketball, volleyball etc.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is very good provides quality time spending with friends. Every room can sustain 3 students all are provided by 3 study tables,3 beds,3 lights 2 big ceiling fans and 4 to 5 sockets for electrical appliances.

Hostel Fee: INR 40000 per year

Admission

Eligibility criteria is 10+2 physics chemistry and maths as core subjects. It was through JEE MAINS. Then went for JoSAA Counselling. Choice filling and locking according to their preferred institutes based on candidates rank preference and aviability of seats. Document verfication and reportment to the alloted institutes. Payment of admission fees.

Placement Experience:

From Third semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies like P360, EY, Deloitte, Tech Mahindra, Neutanix, BinaryWorks and few more visited our college for placements and mostly 15 to 20 offers were made Highest package was around 5 to 6 lpa 50% students were placed I am now preparing for govt jobs and side by side also applying for offcampuses. I have also given CUET for pursuing M. Tech

Placement Experience:

Studentsbecome eligible for placements from 7th semester. Various companies such as TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Godrej, etc. come for placements. Earlier many offers used to come however in the recent years the number of offers made have reduced significantly. highest package comes around 10 to 11 lakhs per annum with average being 4-5 lakhs per annum. I have kept my options open after completion of degree in doing further studies that is Mtech or getting into a job whichever seems appropriate at the situation.

From 6th semester students become eligible to for campus placements(internships as well as full time offer). 105 companies visited in 2025 and many package offered by them based on student's skill. highest palcement : 45 LPA offered by amazon. Percentage of students getting placemnets : 86%. After getting the degree my plan is to take a decent job and to be finanancially stable.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from 7 and 8 semester also their are many placement on thee intern companies. thier are total of 50 t0 60 companies that visits year which leads to very good placement percentage, in mining its above 90 percent. companies which come are infosys, microsoft, google , coal india, tcs, pwc etc. the higest pacage was 39 lacs by coal india. as mentioned above the placement is very good and almost everybranch placement is between 79 to 95 percentage of student which are placed, their are many mass recruiter if you didnt get the best pacakge you still have the chance to get a good package from the mass recruiter. my plan after degree is to advance in computer science even if i dont have the branch but i have the passion to do coding and become a web developer also i will try to get some more degree like mba and mtech and i will also try if i get selection to study abroad.

A GOOD COLLEGE WITH GOOD PLACEMENT , SPORTS FACILITY.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from 7th sem. The names of comanies visited are TCS, Infosys, Capegimini,Tech mahindra etc. Some students Got 2 offer laters . Highest packages last year was 47 LPA (off Campus) 27LPA ( on campus). Average pakage was 5-6Lpa. The job role is Software Development. Percentage of Students Got placement is 92-95% In my Deoartment. Other is Around 70_90%. My plans to take placement from product based company.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I applied for multiple NITs During Josaa Counselling but my top 5 suitable choice according to my home location and considering other limiting factors was NIT Rourkela, NIT Silchar, NIT Durgapur, NIT Patna and IIEST Shibpur. Apart from these, I have also Applied for Calcutta University and Jadavpur University. I have got approval from NIT DGP,Calcutta University and Jadavpur University. But I have chosen NIT because of better Placement records and better campus Life. Moreover it's an Institution of of National Importance and Hold a good NIRF rank. So I preferred this choice above others. I wasn't rejected from the above colleges, but simply i didn't get the eligible rank for them. And the 3 which I got, i choosed the best among them. The Admission process of NIT DGP was through Josaa and CSAB counselling. The College and the Branch will be alloted to you according to your rank in the JEE MAINS Examination. The Closing rank of this exam in 2025 of General Category for the lowest Branch in BTech is 63387. The overall admission process for the college, apart from hostel allotment, was completely online. 14-15 documents were to be submitted in pdf format in the specific website provided. I was getting all nits of india and also some iits.The only reasons of not choosing them is branch ,i was getting lower branches in all other colleges so i choose this. I think this was the best college onmy rank. NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

I applied to IIEST Shibpur and was getting ECE there but I chose this college because of its brand name, infrastructure and placement which are all way above shibpur. No I did not get any rejection form college I applied for. So the admission process is simple.You need to crack Jee Mains with a great rank to reach here.There after you need to go through the Jossa counselling and if you get a seat here you need to confirm and pay initially some fees to get a seat in this college.The overall admission experience was very much smooth because of the whole process being shifted to online and thus students do not have much difficulty....Read More
