Honest review of first year student

I choose aiml because it is new field which can attract jobs. The faculty:student ratio is very low here. The faculty qualification is very low, diploma passed teachers is teaching btech students the subject like communication, values and ethics etc. Faculty didn't give a damn about student understanding, comes late in class and leave early. Many leave without taking attendence. Our current first semester exam is delayed for 2 months and happening in February

Only local companies comes here for internship opportunities like xphoria genx, kolkata railway etc. For good internship you have to apply off campus. One girl from cst 3rd year takes off campus internship from microsoft for 2 months at 1.25 lakh per month, other then that nothing very good.

4th year student become eligible for placements. Companies with low average package and mass recruiters comes here like tch, accenture, capgimini etc. Average placement is 5 lpa for 92% student but according to me it is false claim. Highest package is 18 lpa. I will apply for government job after degree.

Cost of study is above average. The students gets scholarship only from government. The price hikes 2 times for current 2023-2027 batch. Previous year fees was 5 lakh which increased to 5.5 lakh for new batch and again hiked to 6 lakh after first semester. They said there is 92% placement with 5 lakh average package butv i dont believe that. It is higher than college capability. They invest most money on advertisment on metro and railway of kolkata and many other places.

Poor campus life. Very small campus of just 6 acres. Annual fest and sports happen but at the small ground of college which is not good for sport, many students got injured. They invite celebrities on fest with students fees money just to advertise college. There is no active social group . Spots fascility is very bad. There is yoga room and gym in college which never opens, it only opens when official come to evaluate college.

I have appeared in wbjee exam 2023 and secured 44320 rank. The cutoff for cse aiml in narula institute of technology is 60000 rank in 2023 in mopup round. I have given total 78500 rs for admission. The student intake is very high. I have not availed any reservation benefit.
