Intriguing Life at NITK

To be honest,I chose this because this is what i got in my rank,until now I've not found any reason to regret my choice.Faculty student ratio is 1:60 on an average it may differ in various departments.All the faculties teaching you will have a Minimum of Doctorate Degree in their fields,All the Associate Profs and Profs have pursued their education from various Institutes of National Important.Teaching method is usually through blackboard,ppts are also used in some cases.Exams were conducted on time and thing I liked was they were puctual in declaring results too,It's easy to pass if you've attended classes and revised once.

A lot of Internship opportunities available in various fields.Companies like OLA Uber Blinkit usually offer internships.There are different projects being managed by different departments which have connection with some foreign Universities and IIT's.

Generally students become eligible for placements after 6th Semester.Many IT companies visit the campus namely Amazon, Wells Fargo, Microsoft, Goldmen Sachs and many.Highest package offered in 2023 was 54 lakhs, average package of the institute was 18 lakhs of Btech Grads.2023 recorded placement percentage og 87.22%.Maybe I'll pursue masters abroad after my degree,but this is not sure.

Per Semester Fee is 1 lakh approx for a general student including hostel, mess and Tuition Fee. The cost of Study is less compared to private institutes,you can get scholarships also if you come under certain category.Loans with minimal interest are also provided by Banks which are in campus.I can't say about any job that you can get but yes you can get stipend if you do something useful in research facility or work on any project.

Life at campus is 10/10, you get to lighten your mood on the beach as a part of it comes under the campus boundaries, A lush and green campus is mesmerizing with a lot of flora and fauna around. Annual Fest is Incident which is India's Biggest cultural fest that's organized without the support of any trust(you can google it) It comes in the month of March. Tech Fest is Engineer which is conducted in the month of October. Our Classrooms were well furnished with all the necessities including a projector and a strong wifi connection, so you don't get bored in class(JK). A large sports ground is there for Football and Cricket, Two Badminton Courts One wooden one and the other is a normal one.Running Track for athletes.Two BasketBall courts,Two Volleyball courts,Two Lawn Tennis Courts,Swimmimg pool is being constructed,TT court,carrom room,billiards room,yoga room all of these make up the sports complex og NITK.

In first Year you get to share room with 3 people including you,From second year onwards your choice.Rooms are aveage,you are provided with basic furniture required,LAN Port and wifi connection is also given.Meal quality is 7/10 in the mess where I eat.Registration process is smooth you can select rooms through the college website,on first come first serve basis.

Eligibility is to have cleared Jee Mains, For General Other state lowest cutoff is around 97 percentile .Application Form is through NTA Josaa , Form Application Fee is the JEE Main Application Fee no other fee is asked.Whole admission process is managed through JOSAA and NTA.
