Course Curriculum Overview

2

There has been faliure in my family in electrical engineering, so my parents tried there best to avoid it and since I loved Maths and CS just merges with it as we go deeper, so CSE was opt for me considering the respect of Engineering. Well, the Faculty to Student ratio is quite poor, much improvement is needed, most of them are just Odias, more diversity is needed. Their communication skills are poor, and most of them have a very Odia accent in Hindi and English, which makes it quite perilous for a fresher to understand. Attendance is very strict here. Most of the faculties are very qualified as many of them have Masters and PHd.from IISc Bangalore. Although they are qualified until they improve there Communication Skills, the teaching will remain medicore. Exam questions are generally standard to easy ,but the checking process is what makes it difficult to pass, so faculties won't just give any marks due to bibiases, and others may give a lot of marks. It must improve.

Placement Experience

3.5

This year, the highest placement was 26 LPA from CE regarding On campus. But since the last semester is still not done, it will change. Above 90 per cent of students get placed from CSE, IT, and CE, but the number drops around 50 for EEE and ETC. I plan to opt for Masters and PHd. due to my personal decisions.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is quite high, but scholarships are available for girls, Odia, and if you're a topper. But it is affordable. Financial assistance is quite well, you can find many on first day of your college.

Campus Life

3

You many even hear faculties say everything happens in this college except studies. Our Annual Fest is Advaita and is generally conducted around end of February. Books regarding the topics which are taught are openly available. Online sources are also provided by college authorities. Classrooms are quite above standard , neat and clean, but ACs should be installed in every classroom regarding the climate around here. Annual Sports fest or GC also takes place and is a Competition between branches, CE was 2k23 winner. A lot of Societies are available like Flim and Art society, Art society: Paracosm, Tech Society, Robotics society, Entrepreneurship cell. Placement cell, etc.

Hostel Facilities

2

Rooms are very small and mostly unhygienic for living, but everywhere around the hostel is clean. The hostel resembles the old Soviet apartments but is yellow. Meals are mostly bad to worse. they must improve, although the new menu is for each day. Hostel is quite affordable at 9000 per semester. Hostel is mandatory in 1st year, but you may look forward to other options in the locality.

Admission

JEE is mandatory for this college. I ranked 20928 in JEE mains, and it was the nearest CSE from my home, so I had to take it. You need 75% in boards and around 97 percentile in JEE mains to get admission, although mine was 98.203 percentile. Counselling was done by JOSAA for me, and I also applied for IIEST Shibpur CSE or IT in CSAB but didn't make it. Home State quota is 50% here. Registration is done on college itself. The registration process is quite smooth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

* I had chosen to do mechanical engineering because I had some bond with machines and it's designing and was also aware with the scopes of mechanical engineering. * In real world the curriculum helped me a lot and still it is helpful, currently I'm preparing for position of junior engineer and there it is quite helpful for me. * I don't think any improvement is required in the course curriculum and teaching methods as everything was good at its place and it's also the responsibility of us (students) to know our curriculum thoroughly and give our best. * Exams were conducted at an interval of 6 months and as said earlier exams conducted were moderate level not too difficult or easy and with studies it can be cleared easily

Placement Experience:

Placements at KIIT University for B.Tech CSE are decent and well structured, especially for students who prepare consistently. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester, although pre placement talks training sessions and internships start from the 5th or 6th semester. The university has a centralized placement cell that coordinates training aptitude tests mock interviews and company drives. Many reputed companies visit the campus every year including TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini Deloitte EY Mindtree LTI Bosch HP Amazon and a few product based startups. Mass recruiters make a large number of offers while product and service based companies offer selective roles. The average package for CSE students usually ranges between 4 to 5 LPA, while the highest package can go above 20 to 25 LPA in exceptional cases depending on the company and role such as software developer or data engineer. Around 75 to 85 percent of CSE students get placed through campus placements. Students who remain unplaced usually pursue higher studies startups off campus jobs or competitive exam preparation. Placement success largely depends on individual effort coding skills internships and communication ability. After completing my degree I plan to work in the software industry to gain practical experience and improve my technical skills. Alongside my job I also plan to upskill in advanced technologies and later consider higher studies or specialized roles depending on career growth.

Campus placement i thik it's in your 4 year of engineering only i.e in your 6 semester. There is a lot of companies visited like jsw ,hindulgo and a lot to go . Jsw provides avg package of INR 12 LPA And it selected only 2 students only. I think girls get placement easily as compared to boys ... companies usually select more female candidates....I think I will go for job rather than doing masters degree.
