Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty members are well qualified. There are approximately 60 students under each Professor. The level of exams was moderate. The teachers are very understanding and helpful. Doubts are cleared regularly

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 36000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for bcom is 36000 per year. The amount is affordable and there is a provision for scholarship for those who can't afford. I haven't got any intership yet so I don't know much about that. Over all its nice and affordable

Campus Life

The different fests are conducted in college. All types of books and journal are available in library. The environment of library is so calm and peaceful. One can easily study over there. The benches in classroom are not comfortable.

Admission

Admission process was through online mode. The minimum percentage required was 85% Forms were available on dhe.chd site. Application fees was 800INR Admission in colleges was done on the basis of Preferences made

THE LIFE AT DAV COLLEGE

Placement Experience:

We do have a training and placement cell which is run mostly run by both students and teachers. Students with good percentile can sit for placements and can get place into companies which are mostly from BPO and sales background. Students are eligible for campus placements in their 5th semester. Companies which have came in our college in 2024-2025 are Sri ram insurance , Kotak insurance , Planet spark , De shaw , Zomato etc. Highest package offered is around 5 LPA and average package is around 1.5 LPA. I have planned to go for higher studies after my graduation, most probably I will be doing MBA.

I chose the course B.Com (hons in finance and accounting). Look teachers will reach you the syllabus bit the rest you have to cover your all. For that library and computer facilities would be given to you. The library contains a lot of books which you can refer for extra material.

Placement Experience:

You are eligible for placement after you 4th semester , They will also provide you noc if required for your placement, they actually dont have good companies I personally didn't went for placement because i have some other plans but some of my friends were there for placement, and from them I came to know that the companies are offering only 20-25 k month and on a remorte location, according to me which is not sufficient . Percentage of students got placements were around 50%. My plan after degree is that i am opting MBA because bcom hons is not such a huge degree that you will get good income from that only ,so if you want to boostup you career I suggest you must go for atleast MBA.

I applied for SD college ,MCM college and Punjab University self. And I got confirmation from all the above I choose MCM because it is well known for its ma economics.
