Course Curriculum Overview

The only reason that I choose this college is the infrastructure the campus life event and speciality provided by the college the college provides latest technology computers for BCA students libraries with great source of books .The only suggestion that I want to give is to reduce the burden of assignments on the student as we are giving Less deadline to complete

Internships Opportunities

Many companies like airtel,wipro come every year as placement cell to interview and select the vest requires candidates. The basic stipend provided to a bca student is 3 lakhs per annum . The college placement cell is very cooperative and helpful

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees charged for the first year was around 56000 which is almost same for the next five semesters. There is special offer for the students who have opted for Sanskrit which is of 25% discount jn the fees.

Campus Life

Campus life is very fun as they organize monthly fests, seminar and events . There are many clubs to join which help in discovering and learning new things . There is a huge range of books on all courses available in the library

Admission

I have filled for many options in the form like sd college, dav sector 10,pggc 11 etc and this college. But when the list was out i was alloted this college by dhe Chandigarh. The admitted experience is very smooth and easy

Faculty

The faculty relationship with student is very good they are very corporator. There are basically two exams one is a mid semester and the main exam and they are highly difficult as compared to the main ones

Night Life

I dont know much aboylut college night life as i am a day scholar. But i have heard that the night life is also great .They have gym in their hostel,great wardens and yes it is very sade to roam around at night in the locality.

DAV College Chandigarh – Strong Academics, Good Location, and Engaging Campus Life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BCA curriculum at DAV College follows Panjab University’s syllabus, which was one of the reasons I chose this course, as it covers core computer science subjects along with practical lab work. It provides a good foundation in programming, databases, and networking, preparing students for both higher studies like MCA/MBA and entry-level IT jobs. However, the syllabus is slightly outdated and could be improved by adding more industry-relevant topics like cloud computing, AI/ML, and modern web frameworks. Exams are conducted every semester, with internal assessments and practicals in between. The difficulty level is moderate, and regular preparation makes them manageable.

Placement Experience:

1. After 6 semesters the students become eligible for there college placements 2.The companies that visited my college are google microsoft and various other large tech companies and the largest offer made to our students were 1 crore ctc 3. The highest package was 1 crore ctc in our college and average package is that of 15 lpa in our college 4.There are 50-60% of students that get placements from our college 5.My plans after getting the degree is to get a good placement offer if not then getting into an multinational firm

I had a good experience in MCM

Placement Experience:

Students can attend placement seminars in their last year of graduation. There are mostly placement offers for the role of sales and marketing or chat-call executives. IT companies do visit also but very rarely and they only hire only 5 to 10 candidates. There are sometimes unpaid internship opportunities available too.

Sggs is alright, if you dont expect much

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because i was interested in computers and didn't wanted to do arts, and i was underqualified for other streams. Every class has about 45 students, the number vary but not much. The faculty and teachers are helpful. There maybe some slacking by both sides here and there but its alright. The teaching mathod varies. If you know what youre doing the exams are not that hard to pass.

Placement Experience:

1) The students become eligible for placements in their last semester. 2)The companies visited are Microsoft, Tcs and lupin .there are no of offers made by the companies to various students. 3)The highest package is 30lpa and average package is 8lpa and profiles offered are of software engineer, software test engineer, etc. 4)Almost 80 percent of students got placed in every companies. 5)My plan is to do a master degree after my getting the degree.

College is truly wonderful

Placement Experience:

In 4th or 5th semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Many companies visited like, amazon, paytm, flipkart, skrill, justdial, swiggy, zomato and many more. 90% students got placed. The minimum average package companies offered to students is around 1.5 lakhs and maximum 2.5 lakhs.

Excellent collage in chandigarh

Placement Experience:

Every year number of companies visit college to give student jobs. Well known companies visit in college like Google Amazon Tata Nike etc. In the last semester we are eligible for campus placement. The highest package was given by Amazon to one of the student of our college Was 2 crore per annum. The average package of our college was 20 lakh per annum. There are likely all the students Get placement. I had planned to become a software developer after my degree was completed

A journey

Remarks:

Every thing have a good and a bad side in it. Let's take positive first. This university offers a great infrastructure and accommodation facilities. This university can be a heaven for sports lover. There are many clubs where you can show and enhanced your skills. Going through the negative prospective some times food of mess become a threat. And the faculty as I discussed earlier needs to be updated.

MCM MY DREAM COLLEGE

The reputation and ranking of MCM is really nice in north india and specially in tricity! PGGC SECTOR 11 & 42 these are also good but they have a very large crowd of students women like kangana raunaut and yami are also a student of this college giving it a extra bollywood vibe!
