Likes

The infrastructure is good the faculty is well qualified.
The campus is beautiful and is equipped with a large library.
The exposure of college is very good as it is in Chandigarh.

Dislikes

The campus is not equipped with air conditioner.
The teaching style of faculty is slightly old.
The situation is very tensed in election of student council.

The course curriculum is updated regularly as per the requirement. The course curriculum also prepare just for various Real world applications. Modern teaching methods for teaching. The difficulty level of exam is decent.

Class Size: 240Course Fees: INR 90000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee for the courses quite affordable. The complete tution fee for three year course is around 80000 and for the hostel is 90000 per year. Many students opt for higher studies but the rest get placements.

Campus Life

The annual fest is Carvan which is held on a big scale. It is attraction for a large audience. The library is equipped with a large number of books. Sports facilities are awesome. There is special attraction for cricket.

Admission

Eligibility criteria is that you have passed 12th class. The application form is available on the college website. There are mid term examination and end term examinations. The admissions in this college is through 12 th board marks.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is around 60. The teaching style of faculty slightly old. The faculty is approachable in normal working hours. Difficulty is well educated and qualified from reputed Institutes.

The curriculum of b.com is quite decent, it's neither too different not too easy but you can manage it along with your University life , the exams are held twice in a year and level of exam is quite decent.

THE LIFE AT DAV COLLEGE

Placement Experience:

We do have a training and placement cell which is run mostly run by both students and teachers. Students with good percentile can sit for placements and can get place into companies which are mostly from BPO and sales background. Students are eligible for campus placements in their 5th semester. Companies which have came in our college in 2024-2025 are Sri ram insurance , Kotak insurance , Planet spark , De shaw , Zomato etc. Highest package offered is around 5 LPA and average package is around 1.5 LPA. I have planned to go for higher studies after my graduation, most probably I will be doing MBA.

These companies select the eligible candidate with a good package. The highest package is 45.5 LPA. 8500+ placements are offered in this college.

I was always interested in banking and insurance so I chose Bcom Honours. The term exams always held after every 6 months and the difficulty level was average. Teaching methods were quite good but a little improvement is needed.

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like tech mahindra, airtel, delloitte,etc visited for campus Placements. The highest package this year was 9 Lakhs. And average package this year was 6 lakhs. Near around 97% students got campus placement. After getting degree my plan is to opt for MBA in finance from a good reputed college .

THE LIFE AT DAV COLLEGE

As DAV is ranked one of the best instituions in north region for Bcom degree.
