Likes

Discipline in the campus is very much appreciated.
Facilities provided to students are good enough compared to any other campus.
Behaviour of faculties are also very good.

Dislikes

The campus is situated in a large area where else the hostel is far. So distance is a concern but only a few metres apart.

Course Curriculum Overview

Syllabus and Curriculum is as good as IITs. The faculties are highly qualified and efficient. The teachers are highly skilled and have a friendly attitude towards the students. Exams are kind of tough if the student is not serious enough to study. Students acquire a wealth of knowledge apart from the syllabus through faculty with many years of experience,

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 110000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure is mainly divided into two categories for all over Cusat. All India merit and State Merit. All India merit students have around one lakh fees per year and State merit it is around fifty five thousand.

Campus Life

Many sports and arts clubs are there in the campus. And also science clubs with technical skill training also present which are very active. Classrooms are neat and tidy with lot of equipments for studies.

Admission

Students are selected through CAT, an entrance test in the School of Engineering Cusat, in which the student must be in the rank list. And then the student must have at least 75% marks in the 12th and 10th class. The admission procedure to various departments Depends on the cutoff percentage which varies every year.

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Average student experience at amrita

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

My journey at CUSAT: A students perspective

I also wrote KEAM exam along with CUSAT in which I was able to secure a rank well enough to get Mechanical Engineering in CET, Trivandrum which I got in allotment. But since my mind was already set to take ECE as my degree due to my interest and passion for electronics and computers. And yes I do recomment CUSAT to everyone. To join CUSAT you have to write the CUSAT CAT entrance exams and then the seat are allotted based on the rank you earn in the entrance examinations. And usually a rank around 1k can get you CS, 1.5k can get you ECE and SFE, 2k can get you IT, 3.5k can get you EE and 7k can get you ME and CE....Read More
