Likes

Classroom is big and we have projector so it is easy for us to understand.
Lab classes helps us in getting the practical knowledge
We have a very big campus,and so good for evening walk

Dislikes

There is no fencing of college boundary .
We have to share a room . This is for the first students only
Classes for maths should be increased so that it will be helpful.

I have chosen civil for my BTECH degree. I have chosen this because civil course will provide my the required background for the UPSC exams. All faculty members are good and helpful in nature .Exam is conducted on the regular basis and it is of moderate type

Internships Opportunities

We gain practical knowledge in various fields. There is also scholarship for the students who wants to do startup .college will give funds to them for expressing and implementing those ideas.We also got internship for health sector

Placement Experience

Average placement for the civil department is 10 lakhs which is comparably good from othe college .There are many companies which came like Amazon, Flipkart ,Google, etc.Highest package was 85lakhs from computer and science department .

Fees and Financial Aid

For each semester, there is course registration fees of approx 2 lakhs.There is also a scholarship for the students based on marks scored in the previous semester. In that basis, scholarships will be given at some percentage

Campus Life

My college life till now is very good. I got an opportunity to interact with my seniors and new friends. There is also fest like bitotsav and many more which keeps on happening on a regular basis. There is also a library for us . There are a lot of sports like cricket and badminton.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel room is comfortable for me . There is a facility of electricity. And water is also coming 24*7 . Food is healthy which is most important. we also get some different foods on the weekends. Registration process for a hostel is easy.

Hostel Fee: INR 50000 per year

Admission

I have cleared jee mains exam in 2023. I found the application forum from NTA websites. Then I paid the required amount . Yes reservation was there but I have not eligible for that.Overall admission process was smooth

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

According to my perspective or point of view students initiate preparing for placement cells in 3rd year ( 5th semester). The highest package of our college is 14 LPA And average package is 3.4 LPA. Approx 72 %students got placed in different different companies like tcs, wipro, accenture etc.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

At BIT Mesra for our departments many cpre companies like Tatva Chintan, Laxmi Organics and Kanoria Chemicals were among some listed companies that came for placements. Luckily we are less in numbers and therefore 90% students from our batch were placed from here. My plans after getting the degree is to pursue masters from US.

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. GPAT score is what taken into account and in 12th 60% or more is mandatory. Also JEE scores are considered but again baby IITs level of score is required and therefore students mostly come through GPAT here....Read More

Actually This college was in my list but as a last option as i was getting RVCE and BMS few reputed colleges of bangalore but my parents insisted for this college as this college carries a good brand name of BIT,Mesra. Yes, Due to my not so good performance in JEE Mains I did not get the college i was hoping for. A student should first appear in JEE Mains and score a good percentile to get in to this college.
