Course Curriculum Overview
1. I chose this course as I have great interest in coding and software related fields. 2. Most of the faculty have either completed their Ph.D. or are in the process of completing it. 3. The mid term exams and term end exams were held as scheduled in the academic calender, though the results were a bit delayed.
Internships Opportunities
There are clubs which help you with internships and placements. I am not sure if companies visit MIT to provide summer internships but they do come for industrial training which is compulsory for 1 semester
Placement Experience
I plan to do higher studies abroad after completing this degree. The placements are available from the end of 3rd year/start of 4th year. The highest package offered this year is around 54 LPA, average is 12.59 LPA and median is 8.5 LPA
Fees and Financial Aid
Every year, the annual fees is hiked a bit. There is a scholarship based on merit for the top 100 and top 1000 students in MET. The scholarship is only retained if the student keeps their CGPA above 8.5 There are clubs in MIT which help you with placements and help you land (paid) internships as well.
Campus Life
There are multiple fests on compus throughout the year. 1. TechTatva - October; 2. Revels - March; 3. MES There is a Central MIT Library with a great collection of books and has many research papers. The classrooms are equipped with AC and all lectures are recorded and are available to the students. There are over 75+ technical and non-technical clubs in MIT and presence of numerous student projects. There is great social life as well.
Hostel Facilities
Rooms are available in AC or non-AC. They are also available in single or double occupancy. Some also are in apartment type - i.e. there are single rooms with a shared barthroom and common area. The hostel rent varies from block to block. From 2nd year onwards, rooms are available on basis of eligibility according to the CGPA recieved. There are multiple food service providers there in MIT, but the average quality of food is good.
