Course Curriculum Overview
B.Tech in Chemical Engineering curriculum at IITs typically includes foundational courses in mathematics, physics, and chemistry, followed by core courses specific to chemical engineering. Some common subjects you might encounter include: Thermodynamics Fluid Mechanics Heat Transfer Mass Transfer Chemical Reaction Engineering Process Control Process Design and Economics Material and Energy Balances Organic and Inorganic Chemistry Faculty:student 1 : 15 There are minor and major exams in each semster and quizes of small weightage.
Placement Experience
From 7th semster, students become eligible for campus placements. The top sectors for campus placements at IIT Delhi this year included IT/Software, Finance, Core Engineering, Technology & Analytics, attracting 1300 offers from recruiters like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, IBM, TCS, and Goldman Sachs. 85% students gets placed For now I am looking for campus placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
If your family income is above 5 lakhs, Tution fees is 1 lakh Rs. for each semster. If 1 to 5 lakh, 33,333 Rs. If below 1 lakh then 0 Hostel and mess fees is 50000 per semster. There are many schlorships like Merit cum means schlorship FFE schlorship Reliance schlorship Ongc schlorship and many more I am awarded with Merit cum means schlorship.
Campus Life
Rendezvous is the annual fest in october Tryst is the tech fest in March There are over 2 lakhs of books and journals in IITD library. Amenities in IITD classroom are like good table and desks, air conditioning rooms, projectors, screen, good lighting. You can play most of the sports like cricket,hockey,chess,football,volleyball,basketball, and many more . There are seprate coaches for each sport. There are lot of extra curricular activities on the campus,you can participate in lot of competitions. There are lot of clubs in IITD, like Drama, dance, music, literati, astronomy, photography and many more
Hostel Facilities
There are overall good hostels in IITD. In room, we get a bed, chair and table, cupboard and proper lighting. Meal quality is good and mess menu contains variety of dishes, and menu changes every month. During admission process, every student got a hostel, they have to pay hostel fees and then they will be allocated with a room
Admission
The admission process for IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology) typically involves the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for undergraduate programs. It includes JEE Main and JEE Advanced exams. To secure admission, you need to qualify in JEE Main and then proceed to JEE Advanced if you meet the cutoff. Additionally, there may be counseling rounds and seat allocation based on your JEE Advanced rank. One can find application form on offical website of JEE main (nta). Form fees is 1000 Rs. for General students. Application form comes in december. Reservation for caste,gender is there.
