Remarks

This is probably the best place to do engineering in Mysore. It is wel situated in a good area in a highway and has the capacity to maintain a good environment.

Entrance Preview

I joined here through CET. They college also supports COMEDK. Management quota is more frequent. I've chosen BE and NIE is Mysore's top engineering college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The college is an autonomous college and everyone know the advantages of an autonomous college. The college offer BE courses like EC, EE, ME, CS, ME, IP, BT, IS and degree courses like BCA and B.Com.

Internships Opportunities

NIE has an excellent and fully functional certified training division. NIE has various Centers of Excellence (Renewable energy, Building Fire safety) which offer “industry ready” programmes to ensure the employability of students. Further, the departments conducts various programmes which brings courses of Industry relevance to students.

Placement Experience

Autonomous colleges are well known for placements. the chances are 3 out 5 surely make a placement in this college. Many big companies like BMW, Mercedes, Infosys, WIPRO are here for the placement.

College Events

I don't think this college much supports fest but events are real good and do have some or the other reason or a type of awareness behind their every events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Management quote is nothing less than 3 laks for an year and Comedk not less than 2 lakhs per annum. Through CET u might end from 30-60k per year which is real cheap for autonomous college.

Faculty

On direct comparison with Mysore's another top engineering college SJCE, NIE is ahead only because of the quality teaching and the main reason behind it is the faculty. I'm 100% satisfied with faculty and their teaching

My College Story

Placement Experience:

Students in my college have a very good amount of campus placements where students become eligible from the final year 7th semester however the placement cell starts training from the 1st year means 1st semester itself like training for aptitude test, coding and mock interviews. Top it companies like TCS infosys, wipro, Accenture, capgemini, cognizant, IBM, tech mahindra mind tree. The campus receives 300+ offers. The average package 8 - 10 LPA and highest package 54 LPA. Every year 90% students are placed. After my degree i am planning to higher studies in abroad.

My College Story

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is generally detailed and aligned with industry Expectations but there is still scope for modernisation in certain areas.Overall i would like to rate 8/10. The syllabus include both theoretical and multiple lab components which ensures hands on learning. The practical labs like programming work and project with learning help students understand how concepts are applied in real work places. A few theory heavy subjects feel outdated and no longer match the current industry demand this could be revised or replaced.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester, but the overall placement scenario in DSCE for CSE is below average. Not even 50% of students get placed in good companies. Most students end up getting offers from mass recruiters or in sales and non-tech roles. Only a small percentage of top performers get decent technical packages. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, Cognizant, and a few mid-tier companies visit the campus, but the number of high-package, core-tech roles is very limited. The average package is on the lower side compared to other top COMEDK colleges. Because of this, many students plan for higher studies, certification courses, or off-campus drives after completing the degree. The on-campus placement support definitely needs improvement, especially for technical roles.”

My Honest College Experience at CIT(Cambridge Institute of Technology)

Placement Experience:

The students who are studying in 7th semester ( final year) are eligible for campus placements but before that in 5th semester there is pre placement training like aptitude everything. Top companies visit for placement like TCS , infosys, wipro, accenture, capegemini, IBM, techmahindra, Mindtree. Average there are 150-250 offers. Average package is 7-8 lpa. The highest package is 54 lpa at botify company. 85 % of students get placed at cse branch and ai amd ml and civil 30 - 50% . Overall 80% students gets placed. My plan is join a top product based company liek google with a good life.

Great college with poor placement

Placement Experience:

Placements are the only bad thing about the college . Average ctc is only 4 lakhs per annum and only handful of students get actual placement.and rest get placed in either call center or training companies

A complete discipline with education

Placement Experience:

The placement are good average packages 8 lakhs highest packages 35 lakhs and the companies include Google ,Microsoft ,service now companies and usually internships are provided as students become eligible for internship after 3rd year percentage of students getting placement 80% my plans still not yet decided

I got admission in this college from entrance exam named comedk it is conducted all over India. In comedk questions will b asked on 12th phy chem and maths. I got seat via KCET. KCET is held once a year . It's engineering entrance exam for colleges in Karnataka. After the exam there will be counseling and usually the cutoff for NIE Mysore CSE and ISE is around 5k to 6k .
