Course Curriculum Overview

Always I had a wild interest in computer technology....so I wanted to continue my study in computer science and technology.... but my rank was not so good to get a govt college...here all the facilities are well educated and very helpful

As I am a 1st year students,still I don't have a huge knowledge about placement...but I came to know from senior the placement scenario before lockdown was not so good...but now some reputed company are visiting in our college for campusing

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is about 384000...but in case of direct admission the fees may vary...all types of scholarship are applicable here....if you are from West Bengal then you can apply for sbmcm...DRCC is also available for Bihar's students

Campus Life

It's a really huge and beautiful campus....there is a huge playground and swimming pool... it's a huge library.... different types of indoor and outdoor games can be played here... the annual function named MAGNUS is also superb

Hostel Facilities

Hostel room are really so good...they are neat and clean...all the warden are also good but they are so strict about 1st year students...but in case of food,my experience is really so bad...the quality is not at all good

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Admission

You need a valid wbjee rank...you may also get admission through jee rank also.... direct admission is also possible here...but for this case the fees may vary....for persuing btech you need atleast 65% in 10+2.. with science background.

Placement Experience:

At JGEC,campus placements begin mostly from the 6th/final year semester,when students become eligible .I recent years many well-known companies have visited such as Pinnacle Infotech,Synnova Gears & Transmissions Pvt.Ltd,,TCS,Jyesta corporate Entity and many more.The highest package was around 54 LPA form Google ,While the overall average is 10.2LPA.Many students also take internships, industrial training or prepare for higher studies(GATE) rather than accepting direct placement immediately.The exact percentage of student getting palcement is no where.But last year the percentage placed is 70%.

Overall the placement percentage of the college is good for both the core and non-core courses almost near 90%. All the students in there 3rd year i.e. in their 5th or 6th semester are elegible for campus placements. So first talk about the admission procedure : there are two ways to get into this college for btech admission is by JEE and WBJEE entrance exam. Ok taking account of these exam ranks you can take admission into this college and the average rank for CSE branch by WBJEE is under 20-25k.
