Course Curriculum Overview

4

My course is electronic and communication engineering which has the vast opportunities and multiple options in both public and private sector. In our daily life, we have open every path of our carrier so that we cannot stuck at one path. So this course has multiple opportunity and options. In my college, faculty of these subject is strict and serious about all the subjects as all the subjects are important and very objective and the student ratio is also good according to the teacher availability. Faculties are well qualified and experience enough and method of teaching is good but sometimes in labs we cannot understand the experiment clearly and they just overlook it. Which is a negative side but over all everything is taken care off. There is four CA's and two PCA's which internal theory and practical exams. Out of four CA's one or two will be taken best of. And it is conducted frequently in the month. Overall everything is good enough.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Many internship opportunities are come through and gives lecture in our auditorium room. Students showcase there ideas in front of them and they liked it. Every saturday, some competition is also occurred for example SIH occurred last month and many students participated and all over india, our college was also selected. So they give this kind of opportunities.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement facility was good before. After 2022 , the recession arrived dur to this placement conditions is not very good. But our college is known for mainly placement opportunities because Infosys tied up with this college but due to recession there is no placements or very less amount of placement. Stream like CSE and ECE, they have vast amount of recruiters but this year there is no recruiting is occurred. But students are skilled enough they got the off campus jobs some of them. And some of them do the higher education. Last to last year 90% of students are placed in ece stream. My plan after getting the degree to get a job from the college or outside the college in the IT sector.

Fees and Financial Aid

In this college, fees is less comparatively than the other colleges. According to the fees structure, the quality of the student wellfare is moderate. In this college you can get job and also paid internship online and offline both. And the on campus is less this year as compare to previous years.

Campus Life

4

Life at campus is good and friendly. Students and teachers are very friendly and positive in nature and supporting. Functions like teachers day, freshers, foundation day, independence day, and etc also takes place very Sportingly. Students participate in every field like dance, art, singing ,games, outdoor indoor games and technical field too. Teachers are also helping and sometimes itself they participate with students. Also we have many clubs, whatever you are interested in you can join without hesitation and also learn from seniors. Also junior senior interaction are also good and peaceful. Everyone is very helpful.

Admission

Admission process was very smooth and easy. And yes I've given Wbjee entrance exam for admission and in my college the cut off level was sober enough, not so high or not so low which is the perfect cut off level for any average student. Wbjee entrance exam form you can find at online wbjee website and fill it up for colleges and according to your rank you ave to arrange your choices of college serially and then according to the cut off level you have been short listed further and then the further admission process will start. Also there is reservation criteria mentioned and also in rank card. So those wo are reserved can get certain benefits.

Other Applied Colleges

Narula Institute of Technology - [NIT Agarpara] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

Because its don't have better opportunity than this one and the location was good and infrastructure also good and teaching facilities and job opportunity.

Course subjects are overall good for all branch. But, if a student is interested in giving competitive exams like GATE, then he must be facing problems as the semester course is more theoretical related and boring, the same old style education system.

Placement Experience:

The placement situation at IIT KGP is one of th e best among Engineering Colleges in India. With an average package of around 2200000 and overall placement percentage of around 80 (B.Tech+M.Tech). Students become eligible for placement either if they get PPO(Pre Placement Offer) from the company they are interning in in the 5th semester or when they are in the 7th semester when placement season begins. Around 1800 offers and 400 PPOs were made in phase 1 which includes 25 international offers. There were around 400 companies that visited. The highest offer was 21400000. Top profiles are Software, Data, Finance, Consulting, Quant and Core.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum under MAKAUT is quite comprehensive, which is one of the reasons I choose this course. With making the foundation strong in first year with subjects like maths, physics, chemistry and then the core subjects in the later years. In terms of real life application, lab work, project work and projects make us ready for the industry. The syllabus is also alligned with the competitive exams like GATE.

Before the placements were good enough like both on-campus and off-campus. The college really tried hard each year for placement offers and as i have heard from the seniors, it was quite good. But in recent times, there are literally no placement offers and even the college has given up. TPO that should manage such oppurtunities are of no good and they are not even trying a bit to bring it some companies for the placement rounds. Now only if you are good enough and know enough to crack off-campus placements, then its good.

The structure of curriculum is not so great. Definitely there is a scope for improvement . We are under MAKAUT university and through job readiness perspective the structure of curriculum is below average. Lots of inclusion of different subjects are needed along with the exclusion of lengthy monotonous subjects which doesn't yield any result.
