College is so strict about your attendance...you have to maintain 75% for appearing in exam
There are some rules that is only applicable for 1st year students...
Food quality is worst...now it's became a common issue to gets insects in your food

I had a wild interest in computer science and technology so i decided to persue my btech degree in CSE...my wbjee rank was not so good to get cse course under a government college...so i decided to get admitted here.... college is overall good...all the facilities are well educated and very helpful

As im now a first year student so I don't have a brief idea about placement...i knew from my senior that during and even after lockdown period hardly a company visited for placement....but recently scenario has changed... from 2023-24 company has started visiting our college

The course fees is about 384000...in case of direct admission it may be a little bit higher....all types of scholarship are available here...if you are from West Bengal you can apply for svmcm...DRCC is also available for the students from Bihar

Campus Life

It's a beautiful huge campus with big playground...a swimming pool is also available here...its also have a huge library...i can ensure you that you will not find such a big campus in any private college in west bengal

Hostel Facilities

Hostel rooms are really so good...its neat and clean...you will get 2 beded,3 bed,4 beded or 6 beded room... hostel rules are so strict for 1st year students...but when it's about food, it's really a bad experience for me...

Hostel Fee: INR 61000 per year

Admission

You need a valid wbjee and jee rank. For cse you need to secure under 20k rank..if you are from West Bengal domicile cut off will very You may also get direct admission through reservation quota ..in this case fees may be little bit higher

Placement Experience:

At JGEC,campus placements begin mostly from the 6th/final year semester,when students become eligible .I recent years many well-known companies have visited such as Pinnacle Infotech,Synnova Gears & Transmissions Pvt.Ltd,,TCS,Jyesta corporate Entity and many more.The highest package was around 54 LPA form Google ,While the overall average is 10.2LPA.Many students also take internships, industrial training or prepare for higher studies(GATE) rather than accepting direct placement immediately.The exact percentage of student getting palcement is no where.But last year the percentage placed is 70%.

Overall the placement percentage of the college is good for both the core and non-core courses almost near 90%. All the students in there 3rd year i.e. in their 5th or 6th semester are elegible for campus placements. So first talk about the admission procedure : there are two ways to get into this college for btech admission is by JEE and WBJEE entrance exam. Ok taking account of these exam ranks you can take admission into this college and the average rank for CSE branch by WBJEE is under 20-25k.
