Likes

I liked the class quantity as everyone can be friends and there is one to one attention towards children.
I liked the studios as they have Ac and are also spacious enough to continue with our work.
There is also a stay late sheet where we can stay till 7 pm.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because it is a sum up of few courses. It is also research based . As the student count is 36 per class the teachers can individually keep a check on everyone's work . Teaching method is very practical and you do not have much theory to learn . We have ICA every week and term end exams every semester end . As long as u work hard and present a qualified work with a composing all the teachings it is easy to pass.

Class Size: 36Course Fees: INR 450000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Even though the course is a bit expensive, the outcome is good. Design itself is an expensive field. There will be many stationary you wil have to buy when you enter the course. I haven't opted for any scholarships so I m not sure .

Campus Life

We have 4-5 clubs like graphic club , sports club, tech club, cultural club and environmental club . These club look into the activities that can be done by our college students . There is a common library for all nmims students and there are many books you can avail . Our classrooms have been equipped with AC 24/7.

Admission

You have to have 50 percent or above aggregate in your 12 the boards and you can be from any stream . You ll find the details on the nmims sod forum . The dates usually start from January . The admission process and the exams and interview can take place between April and may .

Life at Symbi Design

Placement Experience:

You become eligible in your last year i.e the 4th year of college. Our college has a placement cell. This cell works like a connection between the students and the industry. Pre-placement and placement work is arranged for eligible students. So far the students have gotten placements in companies like Infosys, Whirpool, Autoline, Mudra Communications, Onio Design, Leaf Design, Book My Show, Buzzfactory, Deloitte, Vaachie Apparels, Tommy Hilfiger, Craft UX, etc. I am not quite sure as to what direction I want to go in. I am sure after my 2nd year is done, I will have more clarity about it. Mostly I would love to do Art Direction or Visual Merchandising and work for a fashion magazine.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for placement our college call many companies huge companies many of them get internship many get jobs some get small some get big there is a lot of fun while placement interviews they called very big companies like h&m, max, Zara, Prada, nick, Adidas, off white, etc. Fifty percent of the students get placements. I am planning to open my own business after my degree.

Entrance Preview:

I gave SET exam as an entrance. Symbiosis was the only design college I could opt for since all other college application deadlines were past. I decided very late that i wanted to get into design and not engineering or medicine. I don't remember my exact score but I topped the personal interview as well as the studio round.

Entrance Preview:

NIFT is amongst the best design institutes in India. One has to clear an all India NIFT entrance examination to get through. There are 13 NIFT(2010) centres across India. The quality of infrastructure and exposure differs from city to city. Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru are the most preferred centres.

SOD - a creative universe

NMIMS unversity design's programme eligibility criteria includes passing 12th grade with specified minimum aggregate score. a stanout feature is the portfolio submission of the artwork the students has done. The students can find the admission form on the official college websites and about the fees structure also. The university and include an online portal for potfolio sumissions and can provide a clearer guideline on the artwork type for portfolios....Read More
