Remarks

Bachelor in design eligibility criteria: 10+2 and no age limit. The duration of the course is for 4 years. About the admission process, I was supposed to fill the admission form and also record a video of self-introduction.

Course Curriculum Overview

About faculties, they are professionals and great communicators. A great support system for the students. They are responsive which makes students comfortable to ask any queries. The course is divided into 8 semesters and each semester has a mid-sem exam and end sem exams. That makes students learn quickly and assess themselves. Exams are not too difficult.

Class Size: 48Course Fees: INR 138000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Many small companies offer internships with stipends. Different design houses and pret houses like Anush Purani design house. Projects like assisting the senior designer with the upcoming collections and many other tasks.

Placement Experience

The placement facilities are great. Many companies offer like Marks and Spencer, Aditya Birla, etc. Not sure about the package. Most of the students get placements who are well qualified and skilled. My plan is to learn and experience industrial work.

Fees and Financial Aid

Amity University provides scholarships based on your performance in high school. 3 types of scholarship UG program- 100% Scholarship, 50% Scholarship, 25%scholarship. fees are 1.30 lacs per year.

Campus Life

Every year Amity University Mumbai conducts an annual fest named Aminova. Classrooms are ventilated. University has a sports ground, an Auditorium for events, seminar hall for workshops. We have different clubs in the university run by students. One of them is AmiTrendz run by fashion students. Overall students have a great social life, attending club events, workshops, participating in extra-curricular activities.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are nice. Laundry is included in the hostel fees. For meal - we have an option for the mess as well as a canteen. The meal quality is good. We have all kinds of food there. The rooms are well ventilated and cleaning staff clean the room daily. Well-furnished and hygienic rooms are provided.

Hostel Fee: INR 75000 per year

The college life is journey not a goal

Placement Experience:

Some people get good internship and opportunities where are some people have to find it on their own it's same in every college but most probably not gives the best education in our department. My plans after getting degree are to have job for experience and do my pg later.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think I toke this course because of furniture design which they also provide to which loved. They real toke note that they teach us which is related to real world applications more than only reading book's.I don't think they want any improvement because they are more experienced than us I also liked their teaching way. They also keep seminar where expert interiors and architecture comes and share there experiences.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The creative assignments and learnings of how to think out of the box made me choose this course. The curriculum prepares us well and we learn how to move forward. but the real world is something which we learn only when we enter the field. The teaching methods can improve by introducing more practical engagements and field visits. Frequency of exams are not to much and exams are easy to clear.

Placement opportunities are given in the last year of the 4 year course. A semester is dedicated to internships in the last year as well as students are encouraged to intern in an NGO in their penultimate year. Multiple MNC's such as PwC, Walmart etc. visit the college for placement opportunities

I chose symbiosis after doing numerous researches. It turned out to be one of the top colleges. I chose fashion design here cause it offers you educational trips, building portfolio, garment construction and even design showcases. Along with which you get a separate floor

Remarks:

Mit offers alot of international and industrial collaboration. It not only focus of technical learning but also practical learning. Apart from academics it also focus on an active sports culture and rural immersion program.

Must Read this before taking admission in Amity University Mumbai

I had applied for Chandigarh University and Amity Noida but due to distance i was not able to choose those colleges.And this college was approachable so I chose this one.I didn't get rejection from the above colleges,as I said distance was the problem.There is not very complicated admission process it's a private university you pay your fees and submit your documents,that's all.
