Course Curriculum Overview
Students at SIVAS tend to learn a lot of things from their teachers - personally and professionally. The teachers share knowledge of the field at a great level. The site visits help the students learn more about the materials, course of work, practicality, etc. The knowledge that we attain here, makes it easier to work in the professional field to an extent.
Placement Experience
Our college is tied up with certain companies that conduct placements. We are continually approached by certain companies for internships so that we can achieve professional knowledge.
College Events
We celebrate different festivals at our college. The most important event held in the college is in the first week of feb where each day is celebrated in a unique way. The biggest event is the foundation day which is held at the main campus in Bavdhan that attracts a hige number od audience. In our college, the most awaited event is the annual exhibition.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Bachelor of Interior Design charges a sum of Rs.72,000/- annually which is inclusive of the tuition fees and the exam fees. Our fees are included with the transportation that is provided for site visits arranged by the college. Each year we have a field visit that happens in different cities in India. The amount for this field visit is not included in the fees.
Fees and Financial Aid
I didn't apply for any loans or scholarships from the college because I didn't need it and didn't want to waste it.
Campus Life
Our college does not have a ground, it's a building that runs Interior design, Fashion design, Event Management courses. The ratio of girls and boys is 1:1 to an extent. The extracurricular activities that are held are the workshops that teach us how to conduct certain things in the professional field.
Alumni/Alumna
We all are connected through a WhatsApp group and share personal knowledge of the professional fields occasionally.
Admission
I was always very clear in my mind that I want to opt for Interior Designing as my career. When I was surveying about the colleges that offered the course of study, I came across the Suryadatta Institute of Vicational and Advanced Studies. It immediately grabbed my attention because of all the curricular and extracurricular activities it offered.
Faculty
There are at an average of 7 faculty members including the core faculty and visiting faculty. Each one of them is experts in their fields. They are well qualified in architecture as well as interior and furniture design. The lectures were held and were made interesting by the use of presentations and workshops. This mode of delivering lectures made it interactive and fun to learn.
