Likes
- The Food quality is very good in the hostels . Although everyone complains about the food in collages but its food is good.
- The placements are really good in the newly established campus.
- The green lush environment with beautiful glimps of himalayas are cherry on cake.
Dislikes
- The collage campus is preety inside a village and is not around towns.
- Not a great place to rome around and enjoy. because it is situated in a small village side area.
- Danger of animals and rattles like snakes are preety high as it is situated in a forest like place and also the gym is not in collage campus but 3 to 4 hundred metres away from collage.
Course Curriculum Overview
My first preference was computer science but i didnot grt that much rank so i got ECE branch but i am happy with it as it helped me learned many new things. Faculty is quite well educated and done phd from reputed nits and iits. the student ratio is poor though. Boys : Girls ratio is 11:1. The exams are well conducted and we have relative grading system. So passing is easy but to get good cgpa is hard
Internships Opportunities
The internship are of on campus and off campus . The on campus companies mainly focus on students who have a proper knowledge about web development and a little bit of dsa . The maximum stripend is about 25000 per month which is for 6 months .
Placement Experience
The placements are preety decent in the collage . Students can get internship provided by collage from 3rd year and campus placement gets started in 4th year . The placement are quite good as it is government collage . The last highest package was of 60 lpa in linkedin . Almost 95 % students got placed last year . I am also aiming to get campus placement after graduating .
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure is a bit harsh at this iiit. A semester fees including hostel and mess can go upto 1.6 lakh per semester. The hike is minimal as the next batch had to pay only 5000 extra . The institute provide scolarships like NSP and other state scolarships also which is good for underpaid parents.
Campus Life
Two fests are conducted every year called as Meraki which is cultural fest with all dance performances and songs and other is yalgaar which includes sports fest . Other fests include robo races and other activities. The library area is preety good and majorly all the books are available in that. Classrooms are well equipped with lights , fans and Air conditions . The collage have 3 to 4 main clubs name as Aavesh Eunoia Epmoc, etc.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are wll lit and has attached balcony . The washrooms are not attached but are well clean on regular basis . It has two mess option which is veg and non veg which is on ground floor of each hostel and the food quality is preety decent . There is a canteen in collage campus which remains open at 00:00 at night and has great food.
Admission
The admission was processed through a well known exam called jee mains which is given by approximately 15 lakh student per year and only a handful gets selected. the cutoff at my year was around 47 thousand and i got 43 thousand. Application form is released online every year .
