Likes

In exams they ask only what they teach in their class notes. So if you follow the notes it will be very easy to score good marks.

Dislikes

Fees is too high. Although there are a lot of facilities, still the fees could be a bit lesser.

Course Curriculum Overview

This course is the most industry-oriented course nowadays, so I chose this course. Most of the teachers are highly-qualified, some even over qualified. Faculty to student ratio is about 1:90. The term exams got over at the perfect time. Syllabus is not huge, fairly easy to pass of class notes are followed.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 170000 per year

Placement Experience

Placements are decent....just like most of the other private engineering colleges in the city. Abiut 50-60% students get placed with average package of 3-4 lpa. Some students get 7-8 lpa, some even 15 lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

The semester fees are 85k per semester. That means 85k x 8 = 680k at the end of four years. Aditionally 25k is collected at the time of admission. That brings the total fees of four years to 705k. The fees for previous batches were as low as 55k per semester. So there has been a significant hike in fees.

Campus Life

Ecstasia - Annual Cultural Fest (March-April) Ureckon - Annual Tech Fest (March-April) Eutopia - Annual Literature Fest (February-March) Good stock of books and journals available in library. 24x7 access. All classrooms have projectors and mics for easy learning. Lots of activities in sports and outdoor activities. Multiple extra curricular events spanning throughout the year.

Hostel Facilities

Rooms are small but good enough for 2/3 people. Food quality is okay, timings flexible. Easy registration, just fill out a form and then you get access to the hostel warden's mobile number where you can contact him for further inquiries. Hostel is located in Natunpukur, near Patharghata, behind Downtown Mall.

Hostel Fee: INR 104000 per year

Admission

Admission is accepted either through WBJEE/JEE/IEMJEE counselling. The IEMJEE application form is available on the college website. The exam is not difficult at all and it is fairly easy to get into this college.

ELIGIBILITY FOR CAMPUS PLACEMENT: At Brainware University students generally become eligible for campus placement from the final years of their course. For many programs placemnet preparation sactivities such as aptitude training, soft skills development, resume building, mock interviews begin earlier, you can say that these activities are incoporated from the 1st semester itself. COMAPINES VISIT: Several reowned and reputed compaines from IT, management,healthcare,media, and core sectors visits the university for campus recruitment. Placement drive include companines from domains such as software services, consulting,education,sales digital marketing etc. For my domain CSE AIML companies like Infosys,Amazon,Cognizant,Adobe etc visits. Each year multiple students receive job offers through campus drives and some students also secure multiple offers depending on their skills and performance. HIGHEST AND AVERAGE PACKAGE OFFERED: The highest package offered varies by course and recruiter and also with top performing students receive highest packages based on their role requirements and skills. It range from 12 LPA to 45 LPA. The average package offered to students is competitive for a private university and aligns with industry standards for entry level roles. These generally range from 3.5 to 8 LPA. PRECENTAGE OF STUDENTS GETTING PLACED: Placement outcome mostlky depend on academic performance, attendance, communication skills, technical knowledge, and participation in training sessions. Students who actively engage in placement preparation have better placement success. About 98% students were placed in 2023. MY PLAN AFTER GETTING THE DEGREE: After completing the degree my primary focus is to secure a jon through campus placement and gain practical knowledge. Along with working i will continuously work on my skills upgradation through certifications and training programs relevant to my field.

Shaping My Future: A Comprehensive Review of College Life and Academics

After 7th semester companies started coming and there is different criteria for different companies like some company have criteria for more then 8.5 cgpa will be able to seat only in their placement conducting it is totally based on company preferences. The highest package was 9 lpa and average package was 3 lpa. Around 60 percent student get placed in my department.

From 6th semester onwards, Students can get placement offers. Mainly mass recruiter companies like TCS, wipro, Infosys, cognizant comes here.Some top notch mncS like oracle,amazon, Microsoft also comes here .One senior of our previous batch got 1 cr Per annum in off campus way. Avg package is 10 lpa like . Jft and pst branch has full 100% placement. My plan after getting the degree is to be placed in top notch mnc & work as SDE.

Here students become eligible to sit in campus placement from 6th semester. Many companies come here. The average package here is 5 lakhs and the highest here is 20 lakhs it's gone.Here 95% of the students get placement.My plan is to do M.Tech after completing my degree.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of my college is very strong.From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements.There are around 50 companies visited in the college such as TCS,Intel. Microsft. Deloitte,etc.205 students are placed in TCS in year 2019. 415 students are placed in campus placement last year. Maximum CTC was 25 lacs/pa and average CTC was 5.5 lacs/pa previous year.After Jadhavpur University,the average CTC of the college is higher than IEM. Above 95% placements for IT,CSE and ECE students.There are around 55-60% placements in other department.My plans are doing some great things after getting the degree.

If frustration would have a definition.

If you want to join ths college you have give IEMJEE (their own admission exam) or through WBJEE Exam. But don't worry pal half of it's admission is done by management quota and rest of the seat is seal by external broker. If you come to this college this college is good the teachers are friendly and you will get the campus from the college if you study hard.

You can take admission in UEM Kolkata through IEMJEE Entrance Test or Direct Admission by giving 10,000/-.
