Remarks

It has good atmosphere.students are very competitive. There many clubs for Robotics, Sainieks and iskuwaku for automobile, computer society for Cs,Onix for management.It is a clean place . It encourages for overall development.

Entrance Preview

I wrote Karnataka CET. According to the rank I got there was a good chance to get into this college. This is one of the oldest and most reputed colleges in Karnataka.Hence I landed here. I wanted to join Mechanical.But I got a seat in IP. As IP is sub branch of Mechanical , I chose it.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

It is very good. It is better than other branches as no branch teach Management. According to my seniors there is appreciable importance for Practical learning. This Institute is famous for taking initiatives in research.

Internships Opportunities

Yes it provides internship.Not yet experienced. Some companies that offer Internship program are Bosch, MBenZ, TVS motors, Wipro , Infosys. Average stipend is around 18 k.

Placement Experience

There is good placement when compared to other colleges . 80 percent of them got placed for IP. Companies often visited for IP branch are Benz, Tata motors etc . Last year the average package offered was 4lakhs.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees was affordable. I paid 19k to KCET as IP branch is government aided. And 14 k to college. Total I paid 33 k. For the second year the fees will be about 24 k.

Hostel Facilities

No, I live in Mysore therefore I live in my home.According to my friends they have good hostel sharing. They pay about 70 k for sharing rooms and 105k for single rooms. Food is also good.

Exam Structure

Not at all. Tests are conducted one in month. After every lab session there is one hour break which gives us time to relax.

Faculty

I am very impressed by the qualifications of the faculty. Most of the teachers have done Masters and among them most have PhD. The give much importance to the interactive sessions.The quality of teaching is good.

My College Story

Placement Experience:

Students in my college have a very good amount of campus placements where students become eligible from the final year 7th semester however the placement cell starts training from the 1st year means 1st semester itself like training for aptitude test, coding and mock interviews. Top it companies like TCS infosys, wipro, Accenture, capgemini, cognizant, IBM, tech mahindra mind tree. The campus receives 300+ offers. The average package 8 - 10 LPA and highest package 54 LPA. Every year 90% students are placed. After my degree i am planning to higher studies in abroad.

My College Story

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is generally detailed and aligned with industry Expectations but there is still scope for modernisation in certain areas.Overall i would like to rate 8/10. The syllabus include both theoretical and multiple lab components which ensures hands on learning. The practical labs like programming work and project with learning help students understand how concepts are applied in real work places. A few theory heavy subjects feel outdated and no longer match the current industry demand this could be revised or replaced.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester, but the overall placement scenario in DSCE for CSE is below average. Not even 50% of students get placed in good companies. Most students end up getting offers from mass recruiters or in sales and non-tech roles. Only a small percentage of top performers get decent technical packages. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, Cognizant, and a few mid-tier companies visit the campus, but the number of high-package, core-tech roles is very limited. The average package is on the lower side compared to other top COMEDK colleges. Because of this, many students plan for higher studies, certification courses, or off-campus drives after completing the degree. The on-campus placement support definitely needs improvement, especially for technical roles.”

My Honest College Experience at CIT(Cambridge Institute of Technology)

Placement Experience:

The students who are studying in 7th semester ( final year) are eligible for campus placements but before that in 5th semester there is pre placement training like aptitude everything. Top companies visit for placement like TCS , infosys, wipro, accenture, capegemini, IBM, techmahindra, Mindtree. Average there are 150-250 offers. Average package is 7-8 lpa. The highest package is 54 lpa at botify company. 85 % of students get placed at cse branch and ai amd ml and civil 30 - 50% . Overall 80% students gets placed. My plan is join a top product based company liek google with a good life.

Placement Experience:

Placements are the only bad thing about the college . Average ctc is only 4 lakhs per annum and only handful of students get actual placement.and rest get placed in either call center or training companies

A complete discipline with education

Placement Experience:

The placement are good average packages 8 lakhs highest packages 35 lakhs and the companies include Google ,Microsoft ,service now companies and usually internships are provided as students become eligible for internship after 3rd year percentage of students getting placement 80% my plans still not yet decided

I got admission in this college from entrance exam named comedk it is conducted all over India. In comedk questions will b asked on 12th phy chem and maths. I got seat via KCET. KCET is held once a year . It's engineering entrance exam for colleges in Karnataka. After the exam there will be counseling and usually the cutoff for NIE Mysore CSE and ISE is around 5k to 6k .
