Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course since i want to become a data scientist and thus this will allow me to be proficient in both CS and economics. The faculty is really good, all of them are DSE grads. In general you end up having to study the last few topics on your own, it is very easy to pass exams if you attend classes on a regular basis.
Internships Opportunities
I have worked under two internships offered by my college. 1 was a Research and Development internship in the startup You Got Brains. The other was a campus ambassador for Krayonnz. This was a paid internship.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible to go for placements from 5th sem onwards. A number of companies come to the college, the best ones being KPMG, Reliance,Delloite and EY. Apart from this a number of other companies also come, but they generally do not offer good pakcages.
Fees and Financial Aid
You have to pay a fee of 17000 at the start of every year. Apart from this if you are from EWS you can apply for a fee rebate, and if yyou are from general you can sttill apply foor the scholarship scheme that pays you 5000.
Campus Life
The annual fest is called vibrations, it is held in the month of february and is quite fun. It is spread over two days, a normal day where most societies carry out their functions and the second day where we have a star night. The library of our college is one of the biggest in the entirety of DU and has books of nearly all disciplines.
Admission
You need to have studies maths in your +2 education in order to pursue this course. It includes both maths and applied maths. You can find the details for the application process on the CUET website. As for improvements, it would be better if the university ould educate students more about the various different procedures.
