What Students Say
Likes
- Diversity in students, many are from different states and their own cultural differences which I love to explore.
- Kind and helpful attitude of professors.
Dislikes
- Maintenance of the classrooms are bad, and it takes a lot of time for repairs and replacements.
- Doesn't really have a ground for sports activities, the DDA park beside the college is a lifesaver for students.
- It is very small in size, especially if you compare it to the other colleges.
Course Curriculum Overview
From sixth grade i had a genuine interest in the English literature and thought that studying what I like will be better. The faculty of my college is really great, they range from newly assigned lecturers to well experienced professors. They all have a keen interest to help the students grasp the full concept of the course. Term exams usually held between 3 to 4 months and yes if you have clearly understood the syllabus and attended lectures it is very easy to score good marks
Internships Opportunities
As of now I haven't applied for any internship through my college but my friends have, for 4 to 6 months of internships with the monthly stipend of 6000 to 8000 rupees. The placement cell society of our college deals with the companies and the students.
Fees and Financial Aid
As it is a government college, the fees relatively very low in comparison to private institutions. The cost to study isn't that expensive, the books of this course can be easily be found on the internet and even the hardcopies isn't too expensive. I didn't get a scholarship or financial assistance from the college but one of my friends did.
Campus Life
The fest season in this college is usually held around february month. The maintenance of the classroom isn't up to the mark, the water leakage marks on the wall and cracked benches are easy to find. The sports activities are very active in the college throughout the year especially volleyball and judo. There are many active societies in the college such as Enactus, Rotaract, 3ps, placement cell.
Admission
The eligibility of the English honours course in Delhi University is pretty basic, mainly 4 subjects were required to clear in CUET. The application form, application fees and application dates were all found on the official CUET site. The improvements I wish to see for the CUET aspirants would be to avail more centres for examination as the examination centres were too far for most of the students.
