Course Curriculum Overview
Techno Indian University follows has it's own curriculum. The curriculum is up to date and follows the latest trends in engineering field. The faculty: student ratio is around 1:75 on a average, which is quite normal in all universities. The faculty here is highly qualified, holding degrees from IITs,NITs,IIEST, Jadavpur University. The term papers are done on time and level of paper is between medium to hard level,so studies have to be done in a disciplined manner in order to pass the term exams.
Internships Opportunities
Internships opportunities are available in 5th and 6th semester of university. However, college students of any year are allowed to apply for internship opportunities through National Intership Portal. Also Smart India Hackathon is done in college and those who get selected win prize and get a chance of internship.
Placement Experience
Placement cell is there in the university which is responsible for the conducting of placements for the students. Some of the best companies that visits our university is TCS, Wipro, Amazon and many more. Last year the highest package was around 6 lacs per annum and and lowest was around 1.5 lacs. The percentage of students that gets placed is more in CSE and ECE branch than core branches.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees here is around 1.6 Lacs per year.The fees is quite affordable but every year there is an increase in semester of 5-6k for new admissioned students. The university didn't have it's own scholarship programs, but one can avail benefits of Scholarship program run by West Bengal government
Campus Life
The life in campus is great. The university is located at one of the finest places in Kolkata. Also there are various fests held in the university. Tech fests are also organised in the university. Classrooms are provided with air conditioned and smart boards and are well equipped.
Admission
I applied in Techno India University through WBJEE. If anyone wants to apply in this university for btech, he can apply through wbjee or jee or through the exam conducted by Techno India group. Now talking about wbjee, one can apply by going to WBJEE website. The application fees is very nominal that is 500 rupees for general category and 400 rupees for other categories. After the results are declared everyone have to apply for counselling process and then everyone is alloted in college in two counselling sessions and those who don't got any college can apply for 3rd round of counseling. The over-all process of admission is very smooth and transparent. So no one will face any problem in applying engineering in Techno India University.
