Course Curriculum Overview

As i took commerce with maths in my 11th and 12th, I wanted to pursue bcom hons as my undergraduation degree and wanted to continue my future in commerce only. Getting admission in Hansraj College was a little tough but the end went well and the faculty is also good here.

Course Fees: INR 25515 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

After I saw the amount of Fees Delhi University offers, I was completely in shock as its just about 25000 which is very less for an undergraduation degree in Delhi. But considering its a government college, its good.

Campus Life

Talking about my campus life, I think its pretty good but as its a very big change for me and all the first years to not get spoon feeded and explore your options by yourself is a little challenging. Like you choose and shape you career because you're an adult now. If you want to study, you can. If you want to take participation in competitions, you can as DU is famous for it.

Admission

I got admission in Hansraj College, Delhi university through their entrance exam i.e CUET (central university entrance examination) 2023. I was willing to opt for bcom (H) course and hence I gave exmas for subjects like accountancy, business studies, Economics and English. The application process was quite smooth but during the exam in the examination centre, there was a lot of chaos as many students which exceeded the capacity of the examintaion hall were allotted same centre which resulted to a delay of approximatley one hour in my exam. Apart from that, I would like to suggest NTA to publish more information regarding CUET colege allocation, as there was a lot of confusion regarding it which I had to clear from the college itslef. Rest, from application to results everything was smooth.

I always wanted to get admission in north campus of Delhi University. So, as soon as I got admission in Hansraj, I left NMIMS, applied for refund and got admission here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very interesting & it teaches you a lot about the entrepreneurship. Specially in the field of commerce it gives you the right information and exposure to the real world. Subjects like Corporate law , business law , Cost accounting and etc teaches you a lot about practicality.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say that SEC and VAC, were added by the university to enhance students mind, but these subjects feel more like burden to the students. And also the theoretical and numerics being taught, are not relevant to todays world, as curiculum in the books is not upto date, The assignments pressure.. and sometimes the fear of getting low marks.

MLNCE - Average but Enjoyable

Placement Experience:

The placement in Motilal Nehru College (Evening) is decent and is led mainly by the Placement Cell. Though inactive earlier, the placement cell has become significantly more active recently, bringing in more internship and job opportunities. Students become eligible for placements during 3rd year. In a good placement season, companies like Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, EY come for Audit, Taxation, Risk Advisory, HR jobs. Other companies like DE Shaw & Co, Accenture, Capital IQ also come during job fairs. Earlier, Wipro, TCS, Amazon, Flipkart have also recruited from the college mainly for Sales, Business Development, Operations jobs. Highest on-campus package is ?18.7 LPA and rhe average package is ?3.6-4.5 LPA. Approximately 40% to 50% of students who participate in the process secure placements. My plan is to get into freelancing after college.

My simple college life.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In regard to the relevancy of the course Im quite fond of the subjects such as BL CA AND HRM they give us the better insights for both practical and theoritical knowledge making us ready for the "real" world . As For the improvement i feel like there should be some flexibility in GE so that students can choose a sub as per their choice as Hindi is fixed for me which isnt quite suitable for my course and it just drags my CGP down. The frequency if the exam is okay but the timing I feel like its way too fast just after first sem exam we had classes and all test and felt like it went on a spur

An Unfiltered View of SRCC

Placement Experience:

Placement in SRCC is very amazing, and way beyond the placements of DU colleges. A lot of big big names in Finance, and consulting domain, recruit from campus including McKinsey & Co., Bain & Company, Kearney, Big 4s and all. Highest package is 35+ LPA and Average Package is 10 LPA. I HAVE PLANNED TO complete my ACCA along with a little work experience.

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.
