What Students Say
Likes
- The college life is not as what I expected but it is decent according to me.
- The diversity of students is also one thing that I would appreciate my college for.
- The amount of things happening around you are numerous if you are here for fun only.
Dislikes
- The faculty is not interested in teaching you that's the harsh truth.
- You will make friends here but not like the school ones.
- Money plays a very important role here in every aspect.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because it aligned with my stream and had a very good placement scene. If I talk about the faculty to student ratio, It is very very low and it is around maybe 1:100. Quality of the faculty is unknown because most of them never reach you anything they just come to college to pass their time. Some teachers like 1:10 try to teach but their teaching methods are very old, So most students at the end reply on the internet or self study for exams. If we talk about term exam, they are not very hard to pass. If you have a little bit knowledge then you will be able to pass easily. They happen once in every semester for about a month after practicals.
Internships Opportunities
I haven't done the internship so I don't have much to tell but according to my seniors you need to work very hard and to be active if you want to get your hands on a good internship opportunity. And one advice for everyone, beware of all the salesman internship where you have to sell courses.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for placements in their VI semester. Last year all the famous companies including Big4 visited our campus and made around 540+ offers. The highest package was 36 lacs and average was approx. 8 lacs. Especially in my course most of the students get placed but it is just the opposite for the other courses except B.A.(Hons.) Economics and as for my plans , I also aspire to get a high placement after the degree
Fees and Financial Aid
My course is very affordable but the main expense is the stay and food. If you're not a resident of Delhi the college is going to be a lot expensive for you. The college fee is going to be around 25000 only but the main expense of living and food is going to be around atleast one lack for minimum facilities if not more. Even you get hostel the stay cost is going to be same. Our college have many scholarships both private and government but I am not availing any right now. And our college also has its internship and Scholarship program but I don't know much about it now because I am a First year student at the time.
Campus Life
If you are coming to North Campus for socialising, you are coming to the right place. All the year there are hundreds of programs, fests and events in our campus. So, there is no shortage of other events if you miss one in case the infrastructure is decent according to me, but the area around my college is very congested. SRCC's Annual Fest Crossroads is very famous in our campus. Library is very good also but a advice for issue the books required for the semester early on then reissue them every week to save on fines and book purchasing expenses as the books in the library are limited. Classrooms have ACs , a projector, a blackboard, lights and a place to sit that's it. Societies like sparc and comsoc are present in my college and about the sport you get nice facilities. They are definitely not top notch but they are good in their way.
Admission
The Eligibility criteria for my course is you have to have either Maths or Account because choosing one is compulsory but you also need to choose one language and 2 other subjects are required for the CUET exam and All these subject have to be your class 12th subjects also. You can fill the form for this exam on the CUET samarth website. I took admission under CW quota priority VI that is for army personnel wards and wife's only. If you belong to First Five priorities you can get any college that you want but if you are from my priority you need to have very good marks to get colleges and the remaining priorities don't have any benefit of the quota according to me. The admission process requires a lot of improvement like exam centers need to be near, the normalisation should be done more fairly, Papers should be checked correctly from the first time only and It would be great if it were to happen within one month of the board exam.
