Getting exposure to different types of activities

At times it get humid in class during summer as there is no air conditioner present

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because it can get me placements both in software and hardware department, it being a core subject course. In our college faculty student is fairly okay not extraordinary though All the professor are m.tech or beyond. Though all professor are not the best but some are really very good In b.tech exams are all over you throughout the year but generally main semester exam occur every six month with internals and practicals happening before that. Difficulty level of passing is way easy i believe

We have to submit the fees of the following semester in advance Am in second year so i don't know about the placements too well for now I get swami vivekanand merit cum means scholarship from the govt which requires my college assistance as well

Campus Life

There are various clubs in our college. Events are conducted regularly and are majorly controlled by students. Books and journals are easily available in our library. Though all related to academics. Extra curricular event find it's expression in the events conducted Xplorica, culrav are some club run in our college

Admission

I got through the college following a West bengal joint entrance exam conducted for getting admission in b.tech course across west bengal. Anyone who passed his 12th fairly 60% marks can appear in the entrance exam and based on the result of that entrance exam, seats are allocated in three rounds. All the process are online After you get allocated a college you either lock it or appear in round 2 hoping to get a better college The admission process is quite handy and easy so am happy with it

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

Placement Experience:

Well as far as mh knowledge students get to placements from 6th semester itself . Well there are placement classes from 3rd semester itself . The placement track record of the college is quite good with most year about 90% gets placed with good companies comming like Deloitte, EY GDS , JP MORGAN, Oracle , offering high amount of placement offers like around 20+ lpa . Well I am not sure about my plans maybe if the palacement is good I'll take it or will be preparing for GATE (Whose courses are also provided from college .)

The life in HITK

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.

A Deep Dive into JGEC

Placement Experience:

From 4th year the students become eligible for on campus placements. Few companies that visited are BEL which offered 12lpa , wtw which also offered 12lpa , TCS which offered 9 lpa highest, and many more . Highest package offered this year was 54lpa by Microsoft (off campus) . On campus highest was BEL which offered 12 lpa , the average package is around 8 lpa . My plan is to prepare myself for government exams and get a job by the end of my 4th year .

the cirricullum is quite relevent and comprehensive . BTECH program especially CSE includes specializations like data sciene , cybersecurity, IOT, etc . Exams are held twice in a semester . the college could include hand on learning through workshop , industry project and interships .

FIEM - The Nooks and Corners !

There were few colleges I applied to based on my WBJEE ranks . There was St. thomas college, techno college , heritage , msit and many more . If you know the way of how WBJEE admissions work , you will know we need to give a list of college and they would choose according to our preference and rank . Now according to that , I got this college . Well, if telling why I didn't get applied in other colleges which were much better it was due to my WBJEE rank , which was not that upto mark . Talking about the admission process , its just following the process of WBJEE admissions and on admission day providig the necessary documents needed by the college which will be informed ( or maybe we need to know) . If we talking about cut offs it changes every year so we need to look after it from previous years' cut off list . Also , you need to have atleast a good percent in both ICSE and ISC for admission....Read More
