Course Curriculum Overview
The Course is as per NEP and it comprises 7 subjects. I personally choose B.A. Program for UPSC preparation, as the course allings much with UPSC syllabus, it could be a most prefered course for UPSC preparation. The student faculty ratio in the course is 1:25. The faculty members are well qualified pursued/pursuing Ph.D. in their respective fields. You could find many great educators in Bhagat Singh College. Exams are conducted after every semester passes, the exams are not much difficult, but they require comprehensive studies.
Internships Opportunities
The internship drive is conducted by the placement cell, and various companirs are called for providing internship to the deserving students. I myself did an internship with Daakroom where I served as a campus ambassador, and it helped me a lot with respect to market demand, personality development and many other aspects.
Placement Experience
The placements are provided by the college, where the placement cell approaches various companies and the recruitment drive goes in the month of October. Students completing their graduation are priortized in placements. Various companies like Delloite, PwC, EY, KPMG, BCG comes to the college and offers packages as high as 20 Lakhs per annum. Whereas Average package is around 4.6 LPA. I myself will be preparing for Civil Services with several backup plans.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees here is very nominal and it increases 500 ruppees per year for my course, however living in Delhi is quiet costly as average rent here is around 10000 ruppees. The Scholarships and financial assistance is provided by the college, which includes Student Aid Fund, and many various scholarships by DU.
Campus Life
The Campus is quiet good and from past 6 months, it has been reconstructed and it would be also maintaining heights in infrastructural standards. The fests like Divyaustav and various departmental fests held at Bhagat Singh College. The library is vast enough, comprising over 80000 books. The classrooms are fine but they need to be more spacious. The sports and extra curricular activities are also emphasized along with academics. You can find over 60 societies and a huge playground in the college campus.
Admission
The Admission in any college of Delhi University is strictly done on the basis of CUET which Common University Entrance test and its form are available on NTA website, the application fees was 1350 at my time. The application dates vary from February to March. The process delayed our admission, and efficiency in examination process is a prime requisite.
