Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course for variety of reasons actually like, relatively easier, contacts, tiny interest Well the our faculty members are quite a few In numbers, all of them are very nice and easy going, every member of our faculty has PhD students around them asking to be a assistant. Actually four of the professor in our institute were at the top 10 professor all over world.

Internships Opportunities

4

Internship opportunities available through our institute is quite nice as we can get to gain experience from companies such as amazon, trident if you are topper than Microsoft as well. Through our seniors and there experience I can say that projects and internship opportunities are quite good.

Placement Experience

4

Our institute provides placement offers with a 8Lacs average package with on average of 60% of students placed. Rest of the students mostly opt for further studies either PhD or abroad. My plan is of getting a placement offer than gaining decent experience.

Fees and Financial Aid

As our institute is a government institute the fees structure has different reservations for caste based and disability students. The fees is charged as per their financial, caste or disability status. This provides students with these problems a waiver in fees which helps them financially. The job opportunities provided here is more than any normal colleges as well, for the students of our campus there are scholarship programs as well.

Campus Life

3.5

Here life in campus is just as I expected from a college life, maybe even better. But that's just social life, student life is just hectic. Social life here is like met a new person next day we are buddies. There are numerous clubs for you to select from any field of your interest there's already a club hor that. Got a new idea or interest then you can create your own club. There are number of fests conducted as well with annual fests like utkansh, Techniti, Bharat Dwani and smaller events conducted as per different occasions. Also commenting on infrastructure is a bit difficult our campus isn't the best for that Our campus runs solely because of people in it. Infrastructure doesn't help at all besides from getting a picture.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

As I am an Hostler I can give a few details about that, Registration for hostel isn't all that difficult you just need documents listed and you are done within an hour. But the main issue is the hostel itself, Our hostels are divided as girls and boys hostels which are further divided as hostels for 1,2,3,4 and PhD, mtech students along with a small guest house. Mess here is just...just... nevermind the mess Moving on rooms provided for us are 2 members per room with proper ventilation, an almirah for 2 and a study table and two single beds. If we encounter a problem with the rooms or anything else we can go to hostel staff which by the way helps "as soon as" possible ????

Admission

For admission here in NIT we had to give the JEE exam, which provided us with ranks distributed on based of your performance in the exam. These Ranks basically allow us to stand in a queue for seats in a course. So overall I would say eligibility for my course was rather easier than other ones, for application forms of jee mains exams just browse the internet for JEE and click the first link, from there get registered for the exam. Although it takes a lot of effort in the exam phase but it's worth it in the end. Also do consult people already affiliated there.

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.
