Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because of my interest and with an aim to do a master's in genetics since btech biotech as such gives fewer job opportunities and experience. The faculty is adequate and approx 60 students. The faculty is highly qualified and their teaching method is good.

Class Size: 55Course Fees: INR 88000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The in-campus placement opportunity is low. One has to look for an internship by oneself. There r scholarships available under different categories. You can avail of scholarships depending on which category of scholarships you fit.

Campus Life

The life on campus is excellent. The seniors are very friendly and there is no ragging on campus. It's like a family. There r different fests like utkansh, bharatdhwani, technic, etc. There's an adequate amount of offline and online books available in the library. Classrooms r good with projectors and Samsung flip TVs for presentation.

Admission

One has to go through with the entrance exam like the JEE entrance exam and obtain cut-off marks of above 60 percent. One has to have 60 percent above in the 12th exam to be able to attend the jee exam. The higher the jee marks the better collage u will get.

NIT Jalandhar

Placement Experience:

Placement scenario is good and it is improving since then. TPO looks after this process and it is responsible to call comapnies to the college and discuss about the eligibility of the students who can appear for the placements. For internships, students in the 3rd year appear for it while for placements 4th year students can appear. The average package is approx. 8-9 LPA while the highest has gone to 64 LPA during my college duration. Almost all students get placement.

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

College does provide a decent number of companies to students to get placed but as per seniors Companies come with good package but students fail to grab them. Students are eligible for placement form 7th semester. As data given to us from t&p for this year currently the minimum package is 6 lpa and average is touching 8 but don't get excited it's just the starting months of placement season. My plan is to get a good college for post grad as that was my plan from the start ??

NIT Jalandhar is the only NIT college who has Textile Technology as its branch. So here itself the value is increased. If I compare other colleges with this with same branch and course then still NIT Jalandhar holds more value. To take admission in NIT Jalandhar, one has to clear JEE Mains with good percentile. Brief About NITJ

I applied for PEC, Chitkara, CU, LPU and NITJ. Out of which I could have enrolled in anyone except PEC. I choose NITJ cause of its low fee, better placements and good reputation. I got rejected from PEC (punjab engineering college) as my JEE percentile was not sufficient. For Btech admissin you need a valid Jee rank and students are enrolled through Jossa portal....Read More
