NMIT - An overview

I have chosen this course, as it was the best course at my rank and due to its scope. The faculty student ratio is around 1:30 and each student is given a mentor who will be there for the student for all of his/her problems. The teaching is pretty decent and one can easily clear the exams mids and sem end with regular light study.

Students are eligible for placements from 6th semester and if you are talented enough can get good placement. Companies like Amazon, Adobe, Nutanix visited our college and average package is around 5lpa. I plan to get placed in a decent company after my 4 years here.

The fees as of now is around 4 lakh every year including hostel, college and other expenses you might spend if joined through COMEDK. There is no scholarship that is provided by the college but a student's college fees is reduced and subsidized by the karnataka government if they join through KCET exam.

There are fests organized and anaadyanta is the annual fest organized every year and is organized around March-April. Good number of books and journals are available inibrary covering all the needs for the exam and competitive exams. There are good number of sports facilities a foot ball ground, basket ball court, volleyball court and the college is well known for its sports achievements.

Hostels are 2-4 sharing provided with study table for each and we'll spacious cupboard. Wifi with sometimes very fast and sometimes very slow speed is available. Food is decent and pretty well to eat. Menu is very repetitive and might get bored but given a hostel it's not bad. And hostels are pretty affordable considering it's Bangalore.

The eligibility to join the course is to have passes class 10+2 from any recognized board and to have secured passing marks in PCM. I have joined through comedk which is an exam conducted every year to get admission into karnataka Medical and engineering colleges. It's an exam similar to JEE except that syllabus is a bit less but no of questions is more than JEE. There us reservation for karnataka local students, it is in lieu with the reservation standards of the government.
