Sri Venkateshwara College of Engineering is a self-financed institute located in Bengaluru and was established in 2001. It is approved by AICTE and Govt. of Karnataka and affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University(VTU), Belgaum. The campus is attractively landscaped in an 11 acre land at Vidyanagar, Kempegowda International Airport Road, Bengaluru.

The Institute offers six Under-Graduate, five Post-Graduate and six Doctoral Degree programmes. Five undergraduate programmes are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). Six departments – ME, CSE, ECE, EEE, Civil, and Chemistry - have been approved as research centers by VTU to offer Ph.D Programmes.

For admission in B.Tech course, the candidate must have cleared 2nd PUC/ 12th Std or equivalent exam having English as a compulsory language and should have obtained at least 45% marks in aggregate in PCM. Admission of BE is taken through the score/rank of KCET or COMED-K.

Admission of M. Tech is based on score/rank of PGCET. The admission in MBA program is given on the basis of score obtained in PGCET followed by counseling. The application form of any of the courses offered by the college can be filled Offline.

Sri Venkateshwara College of Engineering offers UG course in different specializations and admission is on the basis of rank/score in COMEDK or KCET and is followed by state counseling.

For M. Tech courses, applicants must have a recognized B. Tech /BE degree and must have obtained a minimum of 50% in aggregate (45% in aggregate for SC/ST and category -I of Karnataka candidates).

Admission is on the basis of rank/score in PGCET and is followed by state counseling. Candidates having valid GATE score need not appear for PGCET, however, they must compulsorily fill the online application to become eligible for admission to M. Tech.

Sri Venkateshwara College of Engineering offers MBA with three specializations with a total intake of 60 seats. Admission is on the basis of rank/score in PGCET and is followed by state counseling.

Ans. Candidates who have a BE/B. Tech degree through Distance Education are not eligible for admission to M. Tech courses. Only full time graduates are eligible to apply for any post graduation course.

Likes

Attention towards every student by the faculties and also the principal is more appreciatable.
Faculties are well qualified and are knowledgable and they are very helpful and friendly.
The college is located at very good and peaceful place. And the infrastructure is also good.

Dislikes

Students as well as Teachers giving more importance to Marks, Score , CGPA rather than practical knowledge.
Colleges placement is not so good and compare to off campus interviews individual college placement offers is too less. Preparation for the interviews is less compare to academic preparation.
Transportation fee is same for the students who came from more than 50km away and also for the 5km far this is not good actually.

What does student says about exams pattern

• The preparation for the internals and also for the external is quite good. But the subject coverage is little slow when exams are far and they will skip some of the topics on important basis. •Instead of focusing more on Exam point of view better teach for the skill basis or practical way.

Placement provided by the college

The placement in our college is not good. A very few companies will visit for the interview purpose. Most of the students will not depend on our college campus placements. But the better part is pur Teachers will help to find the job in off campus interviews which are conducted near by colleges.

Yearly fees structure and scholarship

•Yearly fee for students who joined through CET rankings : KCET fee: 80,000/- College fee: 26,000/- • Yearly fee for students who joined through management quota: It may varies by the references average college fee is 1,20,000/- • Exam fee semester wise: 2000/- per semester and 500/- penalty for 3 days delay. •Scholorships: Vidyasiri( This program is run by the department of backward classes and welfare, Govt of Karnataka) . The amount we used to receive 28,000/- per year.

College fest and various activities

The Cultural events which are organised by our college is awesome every alternate year we used to celebrate Kalavaibav event. Why we celebrate only alternate years because another alternative years our college is a habit of organising Hachathon event. And many interncollege fest will be there and Alumini meets and so on.

Student views on the faculty

•Professor ( Balaji) consistently as a deep knowledge and passion for subject and he made every student perfect in his subjects not only theoretical way and also practically. •Professor (Indramma) she teaches Mathematics in such a way that even not liking maths students also will fell in love with mathematics. She is one of my favourite teacher in my entire school and college career. Very least number of students will get less marks in her subject. • Professor (Varsha Kulkarni) HOD of computer science branch, one of the rude and arrogant teacher i have seen till now and she is very much biased towards students and her behaviour towards students depends on their look and richness rather knowledge. This is the worst behaviour for any student and not at all acceptable.

Admission process of the college

•There are certain factors while every parent consider while choosing the college or school so here iam listing down the colleges i have applied along with my college. 1. Ramaiah Institute of Technology. 2. R V College of Engineering. 3. BMS College of Engineering. 4. PES University. 5. Dayananda sagar. 6. BNM institute of technology. So as per my ranking score in KCET i didn't got the seat in the above top colleges so finally i have decided to choose the college which i got in the selection process. I have not done any mistake of choosing this college, in my 4 years of Engineering i have enjoyed and learnt a lot. Since other colleges might have great infrastructure and other extra curricular activities but my college is not least compared to some other colleges. •Admissions process is quite hectic because we have to pay KCET seat fee in different platform and college fee in the admission desk and have to collect all the receipts before getting final admission letter and the good thing in our college is without ID card no one is allowed inside the campus, that rule is applied even for the teachers as well.

Night Life

Only library is available but the atmosphere or ambiance is not that much good. No gym facilities. Coming to hostel life i never stay in hostel in my college but i got a feedback by my friends who stayed in the hostel for 4 years, timings and security is good but food is not hygiene.
