A well balanced review with some positives and negatives

I choose computer science and engineering because this subject always excites me here the faculty is good and supportive, computer labs are loaded with all modern facilities and softwares and digital library is also available most of the faculty are PhD holders of their respective subjects , some classes are also taken by PhD students of college. Exam happens frequently and usually they are on easier side

Some government organisation like isro and drdo also offers internship here with an stripend of 13k to 20k and a lot of private companies are available for internship with an stripend of 3k to 15k training programs are also available

Placement is not so good as compared to nits or iits but it is quite decent for degree students average pakage is about 6lpa the maximum pakage can go upto 30 lpa usually offcampus The regular companies includes tcs , infosis , ibm , jsw , khanna paper mills , sometimes Amazon and Microsoft More than 80 percent of students get placed I wants to join some big infra company

The college lies in very affordable range usually there is no hike in fees for 1 st semester students they have to pay around 67k and in 2nd sem around 37k and for further sem 37k . there are total 8 semesters . Internap scholarships are also given to deserving students

The college have a lush green campus of 452 acres and probably one of the best campus in entire Punjab. There are two major fest one is techfest which usually happens in April or May and madhuram (socio-cultural fest) usually happens in October and there are some more also like food fest etc. There are multiple sports facilities available in college like cricket football, vollyball, basketball,handball , swimming, and all indoor games as well . Sports infrastructure is quite decent . There are multiple smart classrooms and club culture is quite prominent clubs like sevisa , endeavour, meveriks , happy club navras and some others .

Each room has its own balcony and usually there are three person sharing room is available for first to third year students , academically good students can get single seater room after second year . Hostel food is quite decent but don't have high expectations at the end it is hostel food menu can vary from time to time mostly depends on mess community which usually consists on students If you want to rent pg or room it is available in longowal about one and half kilometres away from college

Here there are two courses diploma and degree for diploma college conductes it's own exam and for degree it take admission through jee You can apply through josaa or csab. Reservation is available for reserved category Admission process is smooth
