Likes

I liked the fact that there is a wide distribution of culture.
Campus has good infrastructure according to me.
Classrooms are air-conditioned and are best in condition.

Dislikes

Rules and regulations are pretty much stricter than that of other NITs.
The nepotic nature in the campus makes me very sick.
It takes minimum of 40min to get into city.

Course Curriculum Overview

Basically I didn't choose this course, I got this course and i had to opt it out of no choice. Faculties are extremely nepotic and do not give any kind of importance to the people of South India. Some of the faculties are extremely talented but some doesn't even know what is there in their ppt. Every semester includes 2 examinations. Firstly Mid-sem examination and then End-sem examination.

Class Size: 86Course Fees: INR 27500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure for my category is so simple ?27500 for institutional fee and ?24500 for hostel mess fee. There would be a hike of ?500 in institutional fee every year. I didn't get any scholarship till now.

Campus Life

Annual fest is called Bharatdhwani and it is conducted on October 17 every year. All the necessary books are available in the library. There are no proper sports facilities in the college. Criminals for dance. Zeal club for English speaking skills. And many other clubs are available.

Hostel Facilities

Very very small rooms will be given in hostel. Being a South Indian I just dont like the food here, and even the local people do not like the food in the mess. It is affordable but, it is not worth it according to me. No, I am accomodated in the college hostel itself.

Hostel Fee: INR 24500 per year

Admission

One must have to clear JEE MAINS examination inorder stand a chance to get into any of the NITs in India. Yeah, I myself got admission by clearing JEE MAINS examination. The admission process is not much smoother as far as I think, it was because of the language barriers.

Because the college i wanted has the higher ranking and better facilities.

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

A life in my college.

Placement Experience:

Only skilled or quality are able to get placed. Usually onwards 6th or 7 th semester, students can be eligible depending on the performances. I can do a job if I like to work there. If not, I will do more internships to get hands on experience.

Honest is the best Policy

Placement Experience:

Placements are really great of our college as its avg pakage is of 11 lac from computer related branches. Girls are eligible in second year for inters and for boys its generally from 3rd year because of the reservations.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is interactive and have added various new thing like in the engineering graphics subject they have added the software like autocad instead of traditional drawings... And in eme they provide the real life assignments projects . The exams are of approx 3 hrs and difficulty level is what that is taught in class

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

Atharv ki dastan nit ki kahani

I got 28102 rank in jee mains and 24576 rank in jee advanced My primary goal was to get into any iit but I can't get due to my rank if I would have got any iit o would have chosen it over In josaa counselling I got iiit bhopal cse which was quite a good option because bhopal is not so distant from home and also has good placement but it has many problems like no permanent campus and hostels etc and very high fees which I can't afford So in next round I got nit jalandhar ice over it because it is a cirtcutal branch enough options in tech and core both morover it comes with a nit tag and less fees and I want clg in north...Read More
