Likes

Hair I like most the facilities which are provided in the classroom .
Hostels are very nice specially bh1 and don't opt for bh5 they serve not very good food
Campus life here is very good very much greenery all over.

Dislikes

See there are nothing very much to dislike but there should not be so much restrictions for the first year students
I hate this like a canteen name night canteen they serve very bad food
There should be permission to use electronic items like electric kettle and iron .

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I was not able to get ece branch but this course is very similar to ece. The faculty are good except for some. Faculties are very much qualified but don't go for that because it doesn't matter very much.

Class Size: 106Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Companies like One Plus, tcs, Cognant, Amazon, etc give internship opportunities for students. Students also get decent stipends like 5k to 25k. They also get different projects in various domains which are very beneficial for the future.

Placement Experience

From the 7th semester students are eligible to sit for campus placements. There are a lot of companies that visit the campus for placements like Amazon cognizant Accenture delloit TCS etc. The average package of this college is around 13 to 14 lacs per annum and the highest packages are around 55 to 60 lacs.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is quite good. Not very much, especially for hostels. There are programs like summer internships in the 2nd and 3rd year by the college and placement cell is good. Overall good placement and internship opportunities are available in the college.

Campus Life

Campus life is very good. There are two annual fests, techniti and bharat dhwani. They are conducted in November. The library is very good here. There are so many books. Classrooms are well equipped with different facilities.

Admission

For admission to this college, or any other IITs, NITs,s, etc. you have to take the Joint Entrance Exam(JEE) mains and advanced. Every year the notification and forms are available on the NTA website in Jan and April for mains and in August for advanced. There are reservations for Obc, general ews, sc, st, pwd, and females. For any improvement, I suggest that please look after the general category.

A life in my college.

Placement Experience:

Only skilled or quality are able to get placed. Usually onwards 6th or 7 th semester, students can be eligible depending on the performances. I can do a job if I like to work there. If not, I will do more internships to get hands on experience.

Placement Experience:

Placements are really great of our college as its avg pakage is of 11 lac from computer related branches. Girls are eligible in second year for inters and for boys its generally from 3rd year because of the reservations.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

I got 28102 rank in jee mains and 24576 rank in jee advanced My primary goal was to get into any iit but I can't get due to my rank if I would have got any iit o would have chosen it over In josaa counselling I got iiit bhopal cse which was quite a good option because bhopal is not so distant from home and also has good placement but it has many problems like no permanent campus and hostels etc and very high fees which I can't afford So in next round I got nit jalandhar ice over it because it is a cirtcutal branch enough options in tech and core both morover it comes with a nit tag and less fees and I want clg in north...Read More
