Not a dream college but not less than a dream.

The only reason I took this course is because it was the only best option according to my rank. The faculty and student ratio is decent. Mostly all the teachers hold a doctorate degree. Their teaching methods are okay not that great. The term exams happened very soon after admission. We did not get very much time to adjust to the college environment. Passing the mid-semester exam was not that hard as the syllabus was mostly related to jee.

From 5 th semester, students become eligible for internships. From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Various companies including Microsoft, Spanidea Systems, spyne Ai, reliance, Samsung, havells, nvidia India, etc visited for placement purposes. The highest package offered in 2023 was 51 lpa from the IT branch and the average package stood for 12.44 lpa. A total of 950 students were eligible for placement out of which 700 got placed in reputed companies. Well, I am planning to get a good job in the company I am interested in after getting the degree.

The fee hike policy of NIT Jalandhar is that the fees will increase every year by 10 percent. The fee of the 2027 batch is approximately 10 lakhs for 4 years of a B.tech course. Well, the college provides fee waivers according to the annual parental income. Annual parental income is less than 1 lakh per annum then there is a 100 percent waiver in tuition fees. If annual parental income is between 1 lakh to 5 lakh then 75 percent waiver in tuition fees. If it is greater than 5 lakh then 25 percent waiver in tuition fees. All this fee waiver is for General and OBC candidates. For SC/ST students full waiver in tuition fees is provided by the college.

The life of college is decent. The annual cultural fest UTKANSH. Various events happen in UTKANSH. We also have a technical fest TECHNITI. Well, the library is well equipped with all books. Novels and magazines are not present in the library. Seating space is sufficient. The library is not air-conditioned. Well, classrooms are well equipped and air-conditioned. In short, classrooms are good. Each classroom has smart classes and a green board. The sports facilities at NIT JALANDHAR are good. We are almost involved in all the sports. Almost all the clubs at NIT JALANDHAR are run by the students. There is a website called cdao. fun which is run by the students.

The admission process was good, though it took time but still, it was convenient. The application form is available on the NTA site. I felt the application fees were a little costly. As it is a government entrance exam. I think if possible admission process should be completely online.
