Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because it comes under the circuital branch and I was a bit tilted towards the circuital branch Also, this branch included a mix of AI and ML. Also, this was the best option available to me. The faculty was qualified and taught us well.

Class Size: 115Course Fees: INR 178000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Some good companies include 1-Microsoft - technical role Stippened -125000/MONTH 2-amazon - technical and managerial role Stippened -80000/ MONTH 3-texas instruments- technical and managerial role Stipend - 60000.

Placement Experience

Campus placements are quite good for CS / it and circuital braches and decent for non-circuital bracnh. Overall placement is quite good as it is a top 10 nit. average placement is 1250000 with very good companies approaching the college every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Semester-wise fees for the pure general category is 89000. Also, a scholarship is provided in fees every semester depending upon the type you lie in. Fee hikes generally do not happen as it is a government institute.

Campus Life

There are annual fests held in a year, one is the official tech fest 'techniti' and the other one is the cultural fest Besides there are many other regular programs going on in the college which do not let you feel the pressure of college.

Hostel Facilities

In the 1st year, you get a room with every basic facility available shared with other 3 people. But from the 2nd year, you would get a room shared between 2 people and in the 4th year you will be provided a separate room.

Hostel Fee: INR 25000 per year

Admission

Admission to NIT requires passing the JEE exam. JEE exam is held in two phases JEE MAINS and JEE ADVANCE. It is held between February to June and the form for JEE MAINS starts from mid-November. After qualifying for MAINS,one is eligible for ADVANCE.

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. Only skilled or quality are able to get placed. Usually onwards 6th or 7 th semester, students can be eligible depending on the performances. I can do a job if I like to work there. If not, I will do more internships to get hands on experience.

Placement Experience:

Placements are really great of our college as its avg pakage is of 11 lac from computer related branches. Girls are eligible in second year for inters and for boys its generally from 3rd year because of the reservations.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

Atharv ki dastan nit ki kahani

I got 28102 rank in jee mains and 24576 rank in jee advanced My primary goal was to get into any iit but I can't get due to my rank if I would have got any iit o would have chosen it over In josaa counselling I got iiit bhopal cse which was quite a good option because bhopal is not so distant from home and also has good placement but it has many problems like no permanent campus and hostels etc and very high fees which I can't afford So in next round I got nit jalandhar ice over it because it is a cirtcutal branch enough options in tech and core both morover it comes with a nit tag and less fees and I want clg in north...Read More
