Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course as this was the best branch that I could have gotten with the given rank. Faculty faculty-student ratio is good (1:7). Some faculty are good and some are just there to present there ppt. Examination especially for our branch is quite hard to score well as the curriculum is quite challenging.

Internships Opportunities

I ain't got any interns so can't tell but yeah those people who got the internship 90% of them didn't even deserve it. they got it either through diversity hitting or they had good cgpa. So if you want an internship or want to get placed, maintain a good cg.

Placement Experience

From the 7th semester, you can sit for campus placement. Many companies visit the college due to its tag of NIT but they later realize that the placement cell of this college is shit (we have also been blacklisted by some companies). The placement scenario is purely luck-based on campus.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is good as this is a government college. mess fees is 25K per semester which I think is a bit more considering the quality of the food they serve. You can get various scholarships like in any other college.

Campus Life

Techfest is Techniti conducted in February whereas cultural fest, utkansh is conducted in the month March. The library is big although is just goes there when I need wifi. I never issued any book form there (I use pdf). There are various sports, tech, and social clubs that you can join according to your interests.

Admission

Admission is through JEE Mains. You must have a rank of under 80k to get into this college, for SC/ST candidates the rank could climb up to 2 lakhs. One improvement that can be made is by removing girls' quota and home state quota as reserving seats for girls only is useless, they just lower the IQ of the whole batch.

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

A life in my college.

Placement Experience:

Only skilled or quality are able to get placed. Usually onwards 6th or 7 th semester, students can be eligible depending on the performances. I can do a job if I like to work there. If not, I will do more internships to get hands on experience.

Placement Experience:

Placements are really great of our college as its avg pakage is of 11 lac from computer related branches. Girls are eligible in second year for inters and for boys its generally from 3rd year because of the reservations.

The course curriculum is interactive and have added various new thing like in the engineering graphics subject they have added the software like autocad instead of traditional drawings... Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

Atharv ki dastan nit ki kahani

I got 28102 rank in jee mains and 24576 rank in jee advanced My primary goal was to get into any iit but I can't get due to my rank if I would have got any iit o would have chosen it over In josaa counselling I got iiit bhopal cse which was quite a good option because bhopal is not so distant from home and also has good placement but it has many problems like no permanent campus and hostels etc and very high fees which I can't afford So in next round I got nit jalandhar ice over it because it is a cirtcutal branch enough options in tech and core both morover it comes with a nit tag and less fees and I want clg in north...Read More
